Great Tips! As a fine 2B wavy, I will often apply a deep conditioner to mids and ends when using stronger cleansing shampoos. I always double cleanse and use the the stronger shampoo first.

Great video! Someone who wants to add more slip to the hair can also try some at home remedies like adding aloe vera or some argan oil or any oil to their conditioner. Also as someone who only washes their hair once a week it definitely helps to detangle first (dry or wet) before shampoo to rid of all the shed hairs or I feel the hairs would just get ensnared with the rest of my hair and not absorb the deep conditioner properly. Mixing conditioners is also a great way to increase slip and I love your tip of doing that with deep conditioners!

A cow ash shampoo is great as a second wash after a clarify and before conditioner to add the softness back and to use up an unwanted product (co wash) Gels that are too heavy, too dry leaving hair crispy dry… take half a cup of gel, add boiling water, mix up then pure into a spray bottle, use as a wave spray x

That's a good idea! I hadn't thought of using a co wash that way. And thanks for your input on the gels ☺️ that's a great idea.

Nice tips, thanks. Can’t wait for styling products, those are the ones I struggle the most with repurposing 😢

They can definitely be tricky! I'm going to have to split the video into two, so keep an eye out for the first styler troubleshooting video this Friday. 👍

Love the tip about cocktailing the conditioners. I have some that need more slip because they seem to just sit on my hair. Not sure why. I actually just tried Jessicurls deep conditioner the other day and it seemed to melt into my hair. I had to keep adding it😮! It did do a great job though. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge & experience! I need to watch again and take notes😊! Blessings

I'm glad I could be of help. ☺️ hopefully the next few videos will be helpful as well. I had to split the stylers into two parts because there was too much to talk about! I actually haven't tried any of the Jessicurl products, but I've been curious for a while! Maybe I'll have to pick them up ☺️

hi Lina, when we use a cleansing shampoo, do we have to : condition, deep condition, and use a leave in conditioner?

That's a great question! Thanks for asking. I would say that it depends on just how cleansing your shampoo is. If it leaves your hair very squeaky clean, I would follow up with a deep conditioner. You don't typically need a conditioner and a deep conditioner. But if you're hair needs the extra moisture, or if your deep conditioner isn't giving you the slip you'd like, you could use both. As for a leave in conditioner, this one depends as well. If you're also using a curl cream or other more moisturizing styler, you don't necessarily need a leave in. You're deep conditioner should leave your hair feeling pretty moisturized. But if you're only going in with a gel or mousse after washing, I would recommend a leave in conditioner. I hope that helps!
