How To Get Out of A Clinch and Land a Punch. Tom Yankello of the @World Class Boxing Channel teaches what you can do when you get tied up or clinched in a fight. Tom will show you how to get out of the clinch and land the left uppercut. If you are fighting on the inside, Tom shows you the exact head placement of your head, then you under hook your opponent and tilt him to his left which will automatically release any strength he has on your arm. The head placement is important as it prevents the opponent from having any stability. Tom shows you how to do this from the opposite angle so that you can land the right uppercut. He also explains how to use your hip turn to throw more power to getting your arm dislodged and land the uppercut with force. This is an extremely effective way to break the clinch!
