I spray the holes I find using carb cleaner with a spray straw. The carb cleaner kills them almost as fast as "bee spray". It soaks deep into the hole and does not leave oily residue. I've counted as many as 12 bees come pouring out of a hole single file and drop to the ground and die. Easily soaks into any eggs that might be there.

I'll try that. I went in my shed and I could hear this terrible crunching sound all around me. So they have taken over. I need to buy stock in carb cleaner.

Have you tried diatomaceous earth? Just curious. This is what I am trying now. We just moved into this house back in the fall. We are also going to heavily stain the fence. This may help somewhat. My problem is that they bore holes in the post that is attached to the fence. I can’t visualize the holes to place the bottles. But if I see any holes. I will try this trick.

I'll try that next time. I too have bee trap bottles full of them. I bought a bug zapper but I can knock them across the yard with it and within 40' they recover and fly off. I convert the bug zapper from 3v factory battery's to run off a 9v battery and cut out some of them guard wire. Now it takes care of them. But I did something else and now I rarely see any kind of bees around my house. The brown paper bag tricked worked for me. They think it's a hornets nest so they leave. After 5-6 days they'll start coming back unless you adjust the fake hornets nest so I occasionally adjust it up or down. I've also had some help after I did that. I noticed I very rarely see a bee anymore and I was sitting on my porch one evening and my helpers came up. Three big black with yellow strip bees came up. Yes they are hornets and they search everywhere for another bees because they'll eat them. They'll try to go in the old bee holes they will go through all the tubes on my wind chimes. Evidently there is a hornets nest in the area and that's the main reason I don't have any other bees. I'm severely allergic so I'm quietly respecting the hornets while they do their job. I like the modified bug zapper though and rubberized spray car undercoating.
