Definitely need the “relationship revival”! I never would have expected our bond to break down with this disease! It’s heartbreaking. I have to admit that I’m ready for HELP! 🥰

It's very important as a caregiver to build trust with your residents. Also need to have an immense amount of patience and love

l realized a long time ago you need to keep sowing love into her, even and specially when she is sowing bad into me, you will always win for your seeds are so much stronger than hers, because she forgets, and before you know it, your seeds are coming back to you through her! but if l had let her seeds grow in me, then they go back to her and then on back to me, then you begin a very very bad bad circle, which is where l think carers go wrong! what you sow is what will grow!

Thanks! Perfect, but trust comes and goes with the wind now. AND.... All your shirts have holes in them! Here's ten bucks.

I know you are very busy, I hope you have time to answer my question. My dad has so many signs of Lewy body dementia. He is hallucinating and talking to my aunt that has been dead for years, he says sometimes he sees giants walking down the street. He can sleep all day, then wake up and still fall asleep when I’m talking to him like someone just turned off a light switch. I tried to later talk to him about the hallucinations and ask him if he has still been having them, and he looked really scared and he said he didn’t remember ever having hallucinations. Sometimes I notice he completely forgets what he is doing and he stands there rubbing his head trying to remember. He is also doing the shuffle walk and he is really rigid. I know it could be a number of things and not just dementia and I would much rather it be something else… but I am concerned about him and I don’t know how to talk to him about it. Could you please give me a suggestion on how I could talk to him about what’s going on? Or how I could maybe get him to go to the doctor. My dad is 62 years old, he doesn’t smoke, drink or do any drugs. He works a lot.

I’m not a doctor in any capacity but maybe scheduling a virtual visit with a neurologist could be an option? We did a virtual visit for my MIL and the neurologist was still able to do a mental exam on her. He did schedule a pet scan for her and now we’re just waiting on the appointment to see what the results are.
