Okay so I'm still relatively new to the synth world but man, when he started to dial up that stereo spread I was hooked.

Great job on the video and hats off to Arturia for bringing this to market, really incorporating some cool ideas, and making it sound great! The morphing reminds me of the Yahama AN1x, but the Polybrute is amazingly all analog. Hard to believe I could get THREE of these for less than a 16-voice Moog One. The biggest shortcoming I can currently see is only having 6 voices, so here's hoping they produce a module to extend the voice count.

Sounds a lot like my ob-x at the time (stereo pan and how the resonance accentuates),but with the difference that the modern oscillators always have this raspy driven tone , but what a great synth this is , puts a moog one to shame considering price

Arturia's first synth was an analog modeling synth. They developed tons of software, then started releasing more ambitious synthesizers. So, when are they going to release a modular of their own? We all know the guy who invented the Brute is huge in the modular community.

Something about this “Jack Learns” format feels more compelling than either a review or a tutorial. I think Jack needs to be given homework too though because he has claimed ignorance one some of these topics for some years now! Anyway it’s a refreshing alternative to just watching experts.

A valid concern. FWIW, many classic polysynths top out at six voices: Juno 6/60/106, Polysix, Jupiter 6, and even the Memorymoog.

Anyone else notice the big screen to the right went blank on its on at around the 10:56 mark? Mine does that when I am playing, but not touching anything on the panel for about 15-20 minutes. When I move something on the panel, it comes back on.

@@JJDPROMEDIAPRODUCTION 2.4k, not 4k. And that's not an unreasonable price for a polyphonic analog synth. and of course you have never seen them on tour - it only started shipping earlier this year and we're still waiting for tours to start again. and I do like my polybrute; actually touching and tweaking physical knobs and sliders can't be compared to virtual instruments. Especially with the morphee, the ribbon and aftertouch.
