Please, one of the essential steps any tutorial like this should have is how to connect the light to the app.

I just got the Aputure MC 4-Light Travel kit, and once I turned them on and opened the Sidus Link app, they seemed to just automatically connect. So at least with these MC series lights, it's all automagical.

This is great but about 3/4 the way through, it suddenly just jumps right in to lighting settings, colors, etc. The part that's missing is adding the light, and how to access and work that light. Could really use some help on this. Thanks.

So how exactly do you set up and control the actual light using this app? This video seems to skip that part.

Hey Peter, more videos will be coming soon with more detailed explanations. To start, bluetooth reset your light (reply if you have any questions regarding this), start a new scene in Sidus, click the green plus at the top right, click "New Fixtures," then add your light. Sidus Link is an essential component of any Aputure system. I have a small YT studio setup with 5 Aputure lights, plus two MC's that contribute occasionally, and Sidus makes it all simple and perfect every time. And honestly - it's worth having the app for the light meter alone!

The ONE thing i was hoping to learn from this tutorial, i had to find it in the comments 😔 and im still not sure I got what i was looking for. Every time I try to use this app with the lights i have, i get frustrated trying to find where to control the light(s) in the app 😤 which usually results in me ditching the aputure light for one thats easier to setup and use

I just got the Aputure MC 4-Light Travel kit and, along with being able to control them with the Sidus Link app, these little lights are just brilliant! I'm kicking myself for not getting the 12-Light Production kit, but it's a little out of my price range at the moment...

Having a terrible time with Sidus for months now on my iPhone. Have un/reinstalled, restarted, removed re-added devices but the app is crashing after I stop using it for a while and come back to reconnect. I submitted a bug report months ago, but no response. Not a happy camper.

It would be amazing if Sidus link had Alexa integration and you could active quickshots or control individual lights with voice command. Would be perfect for studio set ups.

Tutorial that has no instructions on how to actually use the app... Have spent the whole of sunday trying to figure out how to connect the lights to the app but none of the lights actually come with instructions, just a qr code to download the app. The lights dont show up as their name, i just get words like Bridge as options to connect to with zero context of what that means.

These people always assume you know how everything works. They always miss the basic steps.....how to connect your phone to the light ...how else do you control it using your phone? Otherwise I will just delete this useless app and do it manually

Please have better instructions! The only way I could reset the BT was to have the unit plugged in and TURNED OFF. Then, I could select the BT menu, press once, and get to the reset screen. The Menus and Sub-menus for the small MC full color unit are very confusing, and the App instructions are not clear about when to hold down for 5 seconds, and what that is supposed to accomplish. Also, the button is on the dial, not on the on-off switch on this unit. All seems to work now, but the dial seems really fragile and cheaply made - otherwise the light looks nice.

Yeah, the dial broke in the first week of having my 100D- other than that and the need for better instructions and a few details on the Sidus app, its a great system.

man this app has so many areas where a little quality of life improvement would be appreciated. i.e. there are only log in and guest mode options. no create account/sign up option. to sign up you just go through the log in process... not obvious. when filling out profile information, the fields aren't smart, a little trip to apple developer docs would help you implement this quickly so users don't have to type out email, names, etc (or even create a hidden email by leaving the app and coming back. the password fields when signing up don't offer to create a password for you (again, visit apple dev docs) when manually searching for a password (tapping password button above keyboard) then selecting a password, it fills in the email in the first password field and only fills in the password in the confirm password field. souper inconvenient. when selectting equipment/software we use, don't have such a limited list maybe? canon r5c isn't in the list and I can't even type it in. also, there are no m1 MacBooks in the list (specifically no mac studio, 14/16" MacBooks) why did you have to create a whole separate app for iPad? I use plenty of apps that you download once and it knows what device it's on and opens according to the device you open it on... will edit this comment as I find more inconveniences.

What a piece of crap. My 100D will not connect to the app after dozens of tries. Plus who designed the UX for this app? Thre is text that is illegible. Font is 1 shade different than black background and set to font size 2. Useless.
