You needed to simmer that brine first, to get it's full potential. It blooms the herbs. Then put in some ice, then add to the turkey water bucket. Lastly, make sure all the turkey cavities get filled with the brine.

I once brined it and instructions on the spice kit said to rinse it before cooking. I forgot to and it was fine. It contained ingredients that weren't recommended to eat only to brine. If it's only salt thyme and stuff like that i don't think so.

Duck chicken rabbit Quail i brine them all.. sugar salt herbs spices! The brine really makes the nest juicy! Try it!

Always dry brine your birds. Wet brine is messy and adds like 3 more unnecessary steps.

Everyone should try bryning a turkey at least once. You can use other seasonings. Best way to keep it moist. STOP HATING!

Brining your bird doesn't make any sense. The only thing that can penetrate the meat at that point is salt, not seasoning. Also, you're adding water to meat, essentially watering it down.
