Awesome video. Zakk is a legend. That guy took some of the most simple gear, and through his technique, produced a sound that is instantly identifiable as him. He did that in a time period where amazing shredders were a dime a dozen and they were all using similar gear. Zakk rules. Period. SDMF.

Cool, I’m a drummer not a guitarist but l’m a huge Zakk and Ozzy fan. Ozzy’s always had his pick of the litter when it comes to top notch guitarists. Every one of them from Randy to Brad, to Jake, to Zakk, to Joe, to Gus have all been phenomenal. But when I’m playing Ozzy on my stereo I always gravitate towards Randy, Brad, Jake and Zakk. Great medley interpretation of Zakk’s style. Respect from Fiji 🇫🇯😎👍🤙🤘👊

But after subscribing to your channel I had to give it a chance again, using it properly as a boost and maaaan, it might be the most price worthy pedal on the planet. Instant metal! A little help, Hello ultimately then to create the sound of Zakk, that kind of vibrato effect, distorted, that makes the strings screech when you pull them what kind of effects do I have to put together? Thank you. Good job and good day. Mr Andrew (Italy)

Love all the zakk tone content. I've been chasing the symphonic sound for awhile and have a Yamaha magicstomp on the way which has the symphonic patch. Where would it best be placed in the signal chain to be most accurate to the album tones when playing through a marshall dsl20hr head? Out front after an sd1 like he used the chorus Ensemble, or in the fx loop?
@EugeValovirta230V

Thanks! I’d put it in the loop since it was added in the post (mixing) as an insert to the guitar tracks on the albums 👌. Like I did on this video 😎. But they obviously used the hardware and not a plugin.

They’re my originals but wrote them clearly ”In the spirit” of the Wylde / Ozzy originals 😉. And yeah also to avoid copyright strikes and ’cos I’d have had to program the drums & play the bass anyway so why not create something new while at it 😎.
