✏️ You can get to Versailles by the train RER line C . Paris terminus station is Versailles Rive Gauche.
However, on that day the line was under renovation and we used another option: on the 9th metro line we reached the finished station Pont de Sèvres-Metro, then got out of the subway & we immediately got to the bus stop, where there was a sign 171. The bus that went straight to Versailles stopped near it.
The trip by metro and by bus took 30-40 minutes. Altogether with the way from the hotel to the metro and the transfer to the bus, it all took exactly an hour, and we were at Versailles by 9-30 a.m.
✏️ The inspection at the entrance to the territory of Versailles took about 5 minutes. Standing in line to the palace complex took 30 minutes. We didn’t have to stand at the ticket office to buy for tickets because we already had the Museum Passes.
But it was not a high season, the end of April, in the summer we would go to Versailles by 8-40 a.m. (20 minutes before its opening), so as not to stand in line.
✏️ We spent an hour on inspection of the main palace. Then we went to the park.
✏️ You can also get to the gardens and parks of Versailles via the Museum Pass, but we had to pay 19 euros for two pearsons, because it was Saturday, and on Saturday and Sunday the gardens host THE MUSICAL FOUNTAINS SHOW.
✏️ The Versailles Park is very large, if you walk through it, it will take all the day. Therefore, we rented an electric car for an hour paying 34 euros and with stops we saw almost the entire park including the Small and Grand Trianon (palaces in the park). Then we returned the car and walked for another hour through the labyrinths and park backgrounds.
✏️ In Versailles we spent 3 hours all in all. It’s enough for review. Of course, you can spend the whole day there if the weather is good and there’s nothing else planned for that day. In our case, a strong wind blew, the warming sun occasionally came out and we had a plan for the second part of the day to visit Montmartre Hill and Sacré Coeur Cathedral, but this is the next vlog!
