I use these stretches almost every day and I've vastly improved my front rack position. Thanks Aaron!

Dr. Horschig, I’m of the minority. I’m more comfortable front squatting than back squatting. But it’s all coming along after I started taking my warm up/prep phase more seriously with mobilizations and active stretches.

If the bar is too much into my throat rather than on my upper chest, do I simply need to relax my grip? The idea of the bar just being on my fingertips seems so wrong🤪

@Squat University . I would like to see Front squat tutorial in the future. My front rack is perfectly fine but I struggle with squats especially front squats.I have damaged cartilage on both knees and on my right knee I have multiple painless but uncomfortable cracking. Should I still lift heavy?(when squatting my knees arent hurting at all)
@SquatUniversity

I'll definitely do a front squat tutorial soon! As far as your problems - have you checked out my video on knees that pop and crack?
@mariansykora5341
6 жыл бұрын
@Squat University. Yes, I did and Im doing all those exercises for a month I guess. But the cracks are still here and they are really noisy(it cracks even when I just extend my knee but not that loudly). I add a animal flex supplement 2 weeks ago , hope that helps a bit as well. I really had no injury I just have my cartilage damaged(and probbably have patella pointing outwards a bit) but my squats are pretty strong on my age and weight.

Thats good - a small amount of popping may be just normal for your body. If it is something that eventually turns into pain, I would definitely recommend going to see a physical therapist for a more in depth evaluation

@Squat University. It's good that it doesn't really hurt but I wouldn't say that is a small amount of popping, tbh it's more like nonstop poping when knee is extended(sliding sensation). I had an Xray examination as a damaged cartilage and that patella is more lateral sided than it should be. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you'd possibly benefit from a very comprehensive examination and treatment plan. I'd recommend going to see a physical therapist personally.

Once you get stronger and the bar slips from your fingertips on the front rack like happened to Oleksiy Torokhtiy, you might pursue getting hookgrip on the front rack :D

Hi Aaron!! Hey I love your videos!! Great tips!! Hey I noticed a couple a days ago a cracking sound on the right side of my collarbone when I rotate my right shoulder. I does not hurt and An osteopath look a it but he told that if it does not cause pain probably it should go away. What it could be causing this? Ohh by the way a do crossfit hehe thanks

I have pain in my front rack position that runs down the back of my arms and the anterior deltoid. What could be the cause: weak muscle groups, position of hands on the bar, or a combination of the two?
@SquatUniversity

Could be a combination of the two. Hard to say without seeing you in person however unfortunately

I can get my left arm into rack position, but my right not. I can clearly see that my right elbow doesn't bend as much as the left. It might have happened when I last injured my shoulder. What can I do?
@SquatUniversity

What kind of injury did you have on that shoulder?
@sveinhaland2975
6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for responding! I have an old injury almost tearing all the Rotary cuffs over 30 years ago and could not lift at all in all those years (tried a few times). But I decided to start up again 3 years ago, and it has been a struggle, but by reading and trying out different techniques I have been able to get going ...The last time I hurt my shoulder (little over a year ago) was on bench and under load a pop could be heard, and some pain occurred with a lot of stiffness and loss of strength. I never did go to the doctor but did a lot of rehab myself with bands and stretching, so its pretty good now. But it was after this that I discovered the difference in the bending, it feels like it's stopping by the triceps by the elbow.

You're very welcome. Have you tried some deep tissue work to the triceps? Like foam rolling?

If Your forearm are way longer than your upper arms... No amount of stretching or mobility is going to let you do this
