Then you stop working with them. As a trainer you are there to provide experience to help resolve pain points but you can't give someone the mental will to commit. You can give them strategies to help with it but at the end of the day they gotta invest in themselves

Free clients suck. They paid nothing, there’s no risk for them, and they end up being a pain in the ass
@retrac3147
Жыл бұрын
Why do they end up being a pain? Isn’t the whole point of getting free clients just to get experience and build up proof that you know how to do your job?
@nazombie051
Жыл бұрын
@@retrac3147 in theory yes, but the whole “proof” thing relies heavily on the client actually adhering to what you give them. You could have the best program in the world, but some clients (and this is coming from experience) will just always suck. Unless you follow them around all day making sure they are reasonable with their nutrition and aren’t being sedentary all day and are showing up for their workouts, some people will just not do it. And that means they won’t see results. And people who don’t pay any money have no associated risk. If I charge a client 2500 for a 3 month program, they are going to want to get the absolute most out of that program. So they’ll do whatever I say (usually). If I charge a client 0 dollars for a program, if they fail, they don’t care. There are no stakes. Sure, some people may be great “test subjects” for you to roll for free, but most will not. At the end of the day, if you can afford it (both time wise and financially), sure it wouldn’t hurt to test it out and see how people do. I will just never ever take on free clients because they simply won’t care as much as someone who pays
