I owned a Yamaha SX 230 for 11 years (new in ‘05-‘16) and it was absolutely amazing! We upgraded to a ‘16 27’ Monterey after waiting for Yamaha to release a 27’ for years. SX230 had less than $500 in repair/maintenance expense in 11-years. Easily the best boat ever but we outgrew it.

Listen to this guy’s advice on the gas cans. We had to use our reserve at the dock in Bimini yesterday (no fuel on island), and it took some creative positioning to pour it in the tank. I’ll add to always keep enough gas on board to get back in rough conditions where your gas mileage is terrible. If that means you stay on land the whole time; oh well. That’s better than getting stranded at sea.

I enjoy the videos. I just realized you're "power boat guy!" I know it's safer to go with a second or even third boat but as a cruiser guy hahaha I'd have something a little bigger more storage, a place on the boat to sleep also autopilot. Get that radio man . I also never heard anything about an EPURB . Those are things you might not need in your everyday boating life but, if you're doing this stuff you might just want to have them on hand especially an epurb. Great videos man...

3 anchors . . . because my wife won't let me take 5. To be fair, we anchor out a lot so I have anchors for different conditions and back ups.

So everyone talks about having a yellow flag to go into the Bahamas for clearing customs but they dont say if its a particular one you need. Is any yellow flag good or is it only one kind and where do you get it from. Is boaters world a good place?
@broncosguru

It can be any type yellow flag.. You could even hang a yellow shirt or something if you really wanted they are not to picky as long as your flying something yellow they should leave you alone about it.
