Im from tropical Australia, but religiously watch Atomic Shrimp, he is an English gentleman who does a whole array of videos, including foraging and cooking content. This is very reminiscent of that and I love it. Great work as always Alex

Biggest tip I've come to learn with foraging is that the absolute best place to forage is your walk to work or college or to the train station or whatever local route you do year-round; by seeing the plants you walk past all the time change through the seasons you can learn so much about stuff specific to your local area, identify different plants and trees and how they change throughout the year, and all for almost no time or effort investment. Another thing is that a lot of oldschool foragers (especially mushroom guys for some reason) will try to scare you or tell you off for using todays' plant-id apps- take it all with a massive grain of salt. There are dangers to eating from certain families and being careful about identification is wise, and oldschool local foragers can be a great resource, but deaths and injury from foraging are incredibly rare and a sensible approach and a little respect is all you need.

Wow, this is great! I used to go foraging for my horses when they were still around. They loved dandelions and thistles and hawthorn. I like hawthorn too, it is one of my favourites and I even grow hawthorn on my balcony. I had no idea you could eat the leaves. Definitely going to try that! You also solved the grass ring mystery xD

This is the first video I have ever watched on foraging! I spend a lot of time outdoors walking my dog, fishing, camping etc but I'm totally clueless when it comes to foraging. This video was great, it's fantastic to see your enthusiasm and Marlow's passion shine through, and his daughter helping to cook was adorable. Would love to see more!

Marlow is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to foraging, I find myself watching his channel very often. I also own his book that was shown in this video and it has helped me second to none when it comes to learning how to identify edible plants when I am out and about. One day I'd love to go on a knowledge walk with him, and you too Alex. Also great video brother 👍

You said at the beginning that people rather have the comfort of going to a shop and not having to search for their plants, but when you're as knowledgable as Marlow, you just walk down a path for 5 meters and have basically a full meal with a bunch of different flavours at your fingertips

Alex, you champ.. you've done it again!!! Made one of the most interesting videos on the whole of youTube. I learned more in this video, than I've learned all week. Well done. Now I am going to have to make time to have a look, see what i find in the 2 valleys on the east side and west side of my farm. I know they usually have all kinds of berries, but now I need to see what else I can find in them both. Great family day! Maybe we can find all sorts of edibles, that we can take to the market with us and sell. I am a "Farm to Table Organic Grower, so anything we grow or find, goes to market. [2] Why weren't you gathering all those Dandelions for making Dandelion Wine?? I have a farmer neighbor who demands us to collect all our's for him, to make gallons of Dandelion Wine. [3] Let's take stock in your expertise: 1- A Fisherman; 2- A Chef; 3- A Baker; 4- A Pizzaiolo; 5- A Gardener; 6- A Sprouter 7- A Beekeeper; 8- A Forager; 9- A Camper; 10- A Van Designer/Builder; 11- A Knifesmith; 12- A Skiier; 13- A Surfer; 14- A Hiker; 15- A Painter; 16- A Mycologist; 17- A Traveler; 18- A Videographer/photographer; 19- An Influencer; 20- And a Oompa Loompa!! Did I miss anything in that long list? Thank you again for the most entertaining/Interesting video. It's fantastic!!
