You have TOTALY different PH Levels in each Substrate, especially in "pure" Peat Moss ! ! To go from Wet (Moist) to Bone Dry additionally changes the EC hence it gets salty when dry...!!!

Your videos tend to be very cold weather focused. This is understandable as you’re located in Southern California, but you may want to be more clear so your tropical viewers aren’t steered based on cold weather recommendations. This being said, I’m getting ready to take a stab with 6 posts in Negros Oriental, Philippines. Would any of your recommendations change in light of the tropical climate? Great channel!

With dragon fruit, can you plant a cutting on either end? My parents gave me a couple of cuttings off of their plant a couple of months ago. I finally planted it today. I’m not sure what side is the bottom of the cutting. I’m brand new when it comes to dragon fruit. I don’t know what variety I have either lol. This is the first video I’ve ever seen on dragon fruit. I have a lot to take in.

@@RAREDRAGONFRUITI’m just seeing your response. Thank you so much! I’m beginning my own journey with dragon fruits. I really want to buy an Ecuador Palora to begin with my other cuttings. I’ve searched everywhere online, but the trust-worthy sites have all been sold out. I’m very weary with purchasing a “Palora” and ending up with just a regular yellow dragon fruit look a like. Do you have any tips where I could potentially buy the real deal Ecuador Palora from? I’m in Gainesville, Florida zone 9a/b.

I got mine from Sprouts market. Bought fruit with a fat piece of branch still attached and was able to grow that cutting.

Can I use Pruning Sealer on my fresh cuts to not allow moisture and bacteria in it??

I wouldn't.. I would just let it scar over for a week or so then plant it...I wouldn't water until spring...

@@aquapros916 I’m sorry. I meant, tipping the old growth to stimulate new growth or buds. It’s been very rainy this winter/spring and they aren’t scaring over before another storm.

Never used it, but I always put on hydrogen peroxide in a cut if I want it to callous quickly. It’s our go-to
