@@single7933 Begonias, african violets, gloxinias, even dracaena marginata will show you when they are thirsty. However, Daracaena is not recovering well. She will drop the leaves if underwatered. BUt also, you can have Maranta or Mimosa, they move their stems and leaves depending on the day time. It's amazing. Sometimes, I can even hear the branches of my Maranta move. :) Mimosa will close its leaves immediately, even if you touch it. :) Pretty cool

I boughht this pink one in Nov for my birthday because I like plants with some color but it didn't have a name tag. It did well until Thanksgiving break from my office. I watered all my plants before I left but when I returned, it was droppy and wilted. I thought it was dead! I watered it and the next morning, it had perked up! I was so happy. I did my research and found out it's a Fittonia Nerve plant. Now I water it weekly but mist it every 2 days. I even brought it home while I was out for Xmas break. She's such a diva!

Does it get wilted between watering? Maybe you water it a bit late, and some leaves get damaged already? Another reason can be some pests. Check on the bottom side of the leaves, maybe there is smth

Hey Rocky, yes, the leaves can get droopy from underwatering, and then will recover when watered. But they can also get droopy from overwatering. In this case, the roots may be rotten and the plant will need urgent repotting. Glad that yours recovered. :)

@@AnnasViolets hi :) good point lol i have her next to my white nerve plant so I figured she’d be doing just as well( indirect bright light) , however about 2 1/2 weeks ago I noticed she had gold color on the dirt! @AnnasViolets
3 жыл бұрын
@@gabriellabarragan325 I think it can still be mold. If that's the case, the plant may be overwatered, as mold grows only on very humid areas. If the plant is overwatered, the roots may be rotten and do not work properly, which means the water doesn't get delivered to the leaves and that's why the leaves look wilted :) I think in this case repotting was a right thing to do. You can also spray the leaves to help them preserve the moisture, till it grows new roots :)
