This is awesome info. 👌👌🔥🔥🔥I decided to become a straight natural and alot of this advice can go for that too. I noticed that leaving braids in for long periods of time really helped my hair grow, too. My hair crumbles when it rubs up against my clothes so I use a clip in for the back to protect that area. You're amazing!

Thank you dear. I never thought of using clip in, in the back of my hair. That's a really good idea. I will definitely have to give that a try. Thank you for all the support :)

Video suggestion: 1) Best products to use for texlaxed/relaxed hair. Or 2) How to maintain healthy hair while in protective styles. And products used If you've already made these I'd live the link to watch. Thank you! ❤

Please do a braid takedown. I love knotless braids as a protective style but it’s the takedown process that seeems to be where I struggle. Does washing the braids keep that horrible hard build up away somewhat? What’s your takedown secret!? I use oil, creams and all to attempt to at least try to soften that buildup

no problem I will make that video for you on how I take down my braids. In terms of hard hair build up, it all depends on how long you leave your braids in your hair and what products you use, also you should try to keep your scalp as dry as possible when you have your braids in your hair. I realized that when I used to wash my hair in the braids, it was more prone to locking and creating that hard lump because all the product that I put in my hair prior to braiding it, made it lock because it had nowhere to go. It was just stuck right there in that part of my root. Even though I don't wash my hair when I have my braids in my hair, I still get that lump but it isn't a hard lump its more of a greasy buildup. I know some people sweat in their scalp, but it isn't the same as just going under water and wetting your hair. try using a light oil only on the scalp and for your braids you can use the heavier products, try to remember that your main focus is your hair itself and not your scalp. Your hair will grow, but you want to focus on the oldest parts of your hair when it comes to products in your protective styles. The less product you use on your scalp will intern give you less build up to deal with when you take down your hair and your scalp will feel clean and also smell good. I hope this helps you. I will create a video on this topic as well to better help you achieve you hair goals. :)

@@hairminxfairy thanks so much for this! I usually moisturize the length of the braids and where the braid starts with a cream leave in. I’ll stop doing that and just use a light oil on the scalp and where the braid begins and a cream on the length. And I also won’t wash while the braids are in.

You put the braids & leave it for 4 months? Or you redo in between?

I braid it and leave it in for 4 months

I Leave it in for 4 months because, I noticed that when I do want to redo them it creates to much stress and tension in my hair because of the two different hair textures, so I realized that it will just be easier to braid it and leave my hair alone until I am ready to relax it again.

@@hairminxfairy oh ! Dang , wow 😭😭 & you don’t experience breakage ? & lots of shedding ?
@hairminxfairy

@ii_amJae yes I did experience shedding, but certainly not as much breakage as I used to because I wasn't over manipulating my hair. It's normal for people to shed hair even without you even noticing it, but because I leave my hair alone for such a long period of time, I notice it more. 😁

Do you wash your hair in braids
@hairminxfairy

No I don't. I did that once and my hair started to lock at the root. So when I have my protective styles in I don't wash my hair until I am ready to redo them.
