I watched the replay. I am getting back into hand lettering again. When I was a little girl, my mom and I would sit and do this activity together. Thank you for the tips.

I caught your live but couldn't comment because I was driving at the time. I've been attempting lettering (using a practice guide manual) for several months with no real progress. My strokes all look the same even though I think I'm varying the pressure (apparently, I'm not) and regardless of the pen I use. The only tiny (very tiny) success I've had is with faux lettering. I'm eager to apply your tips.

Hi Creolegurl. Thank you for driving safely! Hmmm... I am curious as to what might help, but I know in the beginning lots of practice is key. If you've learned the basic strokes from a manual, perhaps it's time to practice on your own and figure out how to get those fine strokes. Maybe try blank paper? Let me know how it goes. I am going to do another lettering video in a couple of weeks!

Thanks so much Sherri! Yes, try practicing but don’t put pressure on yourself, just do a little practice here and there and you will see progress. I’m thinking of doing Tutorial Tuesdays and Plan with me Thursday’s. Sound good?

Hi Katie, thank you for this tutorial. So very helpful!! Btw…love your hair. Would you mind sharing what styling products you use for your curls?

Hi Lisa! Thank you so much! Here's what I'm trying out today, but I'm always trying new products for curly hair: 1. FAV: Brazilian blowout Acai daily smoothing serum 2. Testing: MoroccanOil Curl Defining Cream. 3. For frizz control: It's a 10 Miracle finishing hairspray. I'm also trying two kinds of curl shampoo/conditioner, too. I've been thinking about doing some videos about self care routines. What do you think? Do you have curly hair, too?

I've just recently purchased this planner. Do you suggest starting in January or can I begin with June and move through the planner June-May. Somewhat backwards? June 2022-May 2023.

Great question, Michelle! I completely ignored the dates because sometimes I wanted to practice a lot, and sometimes a little. You can do it either way, whichever works for you.
