Absolutely. Champ is such a blessing. Every word is a true tested pearl of wisdom. Love Padraig. His HOF induction couldnt be more well deserved.

What if I change my mind over the ball? Is going through the routine again gonna work? Anyways my one swing thought is "hips". Not even "Remember to clear the hips!" or "Focus on clearing the hips.", just "hips". I found that the less I concentrate on the less is there to f up, so I just think about having hips 😄

Great advice. Basically he's saying give your mind something else to think about. Same with meditation. Don't clear your mind, focus on your breathing. Also get your reps in. Your 70th time isn't as nerve racking as your 1st

Paddy, I hope you see this. But I watched your flash interview at the Open on Sunday and you were saying nobody watches your psychological tip videos like this one. Well I do and did AND played Ulster Junior Cup tonight and had your voice in my ear the whole time with these tips. Won 4 and 3 and shot -3 over 14 holes. It was my best round in a long time and just focussed on completing my back swing the whole way around. Peace out and hope you smash the Irish Open. 🤙🤙

this is a very good video, it will apply to all golfers . I go through my own routine every time regardless of the outcome and use bad outcomes as a challenge to make par. Ty padraig for this video. Handling pressure is extremely important.

I learned by picking fights on the golf course or at least creating a highly antagonistic or confrontational atmosphere. At least I’d give ammunition to my “created enemy” to ridicule me if I stuffed up. Then I’d take my shot. It taught me to block all out and swing in a state of zen. I was ethical about it tho. I’d only pick fights with scumbags who played slow or did some other disgusting act. On public courses, there was always a couple of scumbags to target. They made me a better golfer 😂.
