I’m a dentist. We all sit and lean over. Lower back pain is the number one reason dentists retire. I Kesey over like every dentist ab my back doesn’t hurt. I don’t know why it doesn’t hurst. I’m happy it doesn’t hurt. With the coming of covid, I didn’t work for a year. I’m in my 36th year of working. I’m near sighted. Every dentist is near sighted. Last week, I woke up, with back pain , on my lower left side. I’m not over weight. I’ve never been over weight. I woke up with the pain. I didn’t lift anything heavy. I took Mortin, and the didn’t help me enough. When I had goute, Motrin was a godsend. Noe it does nothing. I’m a week into this pain. I’m gonna try to fix myself, doing what the video says. We f I don’t see any improvement, then I’ll be forced to see a chiropractor or a physical therapist

For me, I injured my lower back using poor form, to recover I did a ton of research online that I'll share here that worked for me. First I looked up videos on stretches, proper sleeping techniques (I own a body pillow so I slept on my side with that between my legs). I drank protein shakes and I ate a good amount of anti inflammatory foods that you're able to go online and find a list for those. I started off using ice packs, avoiding sitting down for more than 20 minutes and a few days later I switch to using both a hot bath / Ice pack. I also was walking circles in my house with the TV on for entertainment or a book on tape to stay mobile rather than laying down all day. I drank plenty of liquids to stay hydrated, mainly water. I also took ibuprofen to reduce the pain and to help me sleep I took melatonin. There is also a large list of oils online I found that I used to help my back heal quicker and take away some pain. So this is what I did, first day I was bed bound, today is day 4 and I'm already back at my computer, taking a shower and cooking my dinner. I'm not a doctor so I would always recommend to do your own research based on what I did. I hope everybody who knows somebody or who is injured will heal as quickly as possible, take care and have a wonderful day / life.

Last year at the end of May, I tried deadlifting 100 lbs after 2 years of no workouts. I did fine until the very last set of 15, and somehow that strained my lower back, just before my shift at work. It took about 2 weeks to get back to normal, and I did great for over a year. Fast forward to July 8, 2021, I was at the park niece and nephew, and somehow strained the exact same spot when I was pushing them on the swings. 😑

Thanks for the video! I went to pick up a shuttle from playing badminton and when I stood back up, I could barely walk! Physio told me to go to the hospital, they told me if it was nerve I'd have relieved myself, and slipped disc doesn't usually occur from such activity. I was told 2-6 weeks recovery. After being sent home, I found stretching was incredible. Lunges the easiest as I couldn't get on the floor. I also ate high protein and made sure I got up to slowly walk around the house at least every hour. I iced it after the first day as I didn't know on the day. I then switched to heat as this guy explains. I recovered to a functional amount after three days, but mainly walking. By one week I was driving again and find it a bit easier to get about bending my knees to get low. Just under two weeks I felt fine, and had my first cross trainer gym session and it was great. I'm now 2.5 weeks and I'm virtually fine. I have a dull ache in my lower back, but that's it. I hope this helped someone and have them hope I didn't have. Ask me any questions and hopefully I'll see them and reply. Thanks to this guy 🙏. Keep safe all.

Old L5/S1 here. Too many overtime hours has aggravated it again. I should've paid attention as getting up from a squatted position had gotten more and more difficult, but I ignored the warning signs. Then I hit a nerve doing housework -- that was the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak. After two days decompression + exercises (without twisting), I feel like I'm on the right track. Just to try them out, I did the stretching exercises for the mid-back from another of your vids, and that helped too! As a caregiver, I work over beds and my mid-back was pulling in ways I didn't notice. I feel looser now. I've had back trouble off and on and I just kind of live with it. I've never recovered so fast before. The decompression ones are AMAZING. Ready to incorporate these exercises into my life. Back strengthening is next, after I recover. Thank you SpineCare! I'll be making a donation. I've watched the equivalent of about 10 sessions! :)

I’m here to find help relief from the pain. I was hit by a car backing out of her driveway 3 weeks ago. I landed pretty hard on my back and I felt an instant pain. After my trip to the ER every test came back good, no broken bones. Still having pain and discomfort, can’t sleep in my bed most nights, recliner is the only thing that helps. Getting an MRI done next week. I am walking to help keep the circulation going.

The belt is an external cue to remind your core to turn on. The belt itself should not actually provide any support. I recommend adding some core stabilization exercises into your program!

Im in so much pain! Play a lot of basketball and hips got really tight from it, few weeks ago I was playing jumped into the air got bumped and pulled or strained my lower back so bad that I needed help to my car. By that night I needed a cain to get to the restroom i couldn’t even walk without feeling shock and pain this lasted two days to that extremity I would just get stuck in one place every time I tried to take a step I was in so much pain lien the muscles would freak out and cramp and cause severe pain. Here I am two weeks later and I still can’t run or move the way I would like to I can’t pick up things without pain, the pain is felt around my waist line and into my my right hip. Not sure how long this will last I’m 40 years old never had a serious back injury but I think playing too much basketball caused my legs and hips to get too tight and this is the result of not stretching enough. Has anyone delt with this can you offer any advice?

One question. How long does it take for a lower back injury to completely heal? I injured my lower back while doing deadlifts five months ago which took a week to heal, and while I’m mostly fine now, I feel slight pain while doing heavy reps of squats at the gym as if it is putting pressure on that spot.

@@jeffrobdine I did, and as he mentioned, the pain went away within a week and I was able to walk normally without pain. But again, even after five months, I feel irrigation in that spot while squatting. So I am wondering how long it'll take for that irritation to go away completely.
@primitxve8076

@@sublime9525 it’s different for everyone. Usually low back pain is caused by very tight muscles. Do these stretches everyday as many times as you can and in a week you should notice a difference in the irritation you’re feeling

Everyone is different I injured my lower back lumbar and my buttocks, this happened last october and while it's a little better I've only gotten slight improvements from treatments I've received soI'm going to see a kinesiologist and I'll have a program designed to me to help me heal. I've been told by my doctor that back Injuries take a while sometimes and depending on the severeity of it to heal and the best thing to do, is keep being active and doing stretches and excercises.

@@123Naomii Ahhh, hope you recover completely soon. I think it took me around 8 months to not feel any irritation on my lower back while doing heavier sets. I think core workout also helped a lot.
