Good video. Only part I disagree is dropping it toward/in front of the opponent who's still transitioning toward the net. Drop shots are best when both opponents are at the net; otherwise either drop in front (ideally at "backhand" side) of the opponent who's already at the net, or, hit a groundstroke (ideally aiming at the feet) of the opponent still transitioning.

Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment. I agree about hitting a ground stroke at the feet of the person in transition. That’s what I meant in the video but didn’t communicate it clearly. Thanks for clarifying!

Very good video! Really like the comparison to throwing the bean bag in corn hole. Emphasizes that the dink is different than a hit. Thanks!

I took to the court trying to focus on this 3rd shot. Found it challenging when my opponents banged a solid hit low trajectory 2nd shot deep into my court. Certainly not the soft lobbs shown in your video, but the concepts I still accept. Just quite the challenge.

Thanks for the comment, Gerry. If your opponent hits a deep serve return with pace, it will add an extra challenge to your third shot, for sure. That's one of the amazing parts of pickleball! The strategy. How could you weaponize your serve to give you better odds on your third shot? Here are a few things to consider on the thirds if you're still having trouble: kzitem.info/news/bejne/tH9j1ql9gKeGiaQ And here is a quick tutorial on the transition zone: kzitem.info/news/bejne/x2Orm5eoiWSniaQ Hope that helps-

Being able to attack a drop seems difficult, depending on the level of your opponent. I’ve gotten better at the drop and now I’m working on letting out balls go out. Lol

Plz consider making a video on different techniques to improve “Un-attackable” dinks / 3rd shots!

don't rush the kitchen if your shot is attackable was a key takeaway from this video for me

I believe being able to consistently hit a 3rd drop helps neutralize someone who might be more skilled than me in other areas and gives me a chance to win.
