PROJECT IDEA INSIDE! Hi Wintergatan! Love the project, Looking forward to every Wednesday and more then anything, to hear you and it play! Just got an idea, maybe not worth digging into but I'll let you be the judge of that: Barrel rifling! I think it would make the marbles more reliable in pretty much all aspects. * Stop vibrational & gyroscopic effects of a slightly to big pipe. * Reduce drag and/or push of marble ahead or after in the same pipe. * Make for a more exact hit pattern. * Look cool if grooves are accentuated. Thanks for considering! Love from Sweden

Professor Brown sounds so much like Jim Henson I kept expecting Muppets to pop out. Which wouldn't seem out of place at all.

If we're realistic and look at what has been done, how long it took, and what is still to be done, and leave a little margin for unforeseen re-designs, it might not be "a couple months" but it's definitely "less than a year". Marble Machine X 2020, I believe in you Martin!

@@alexsilva28 thanks guys! I had the same thought to submit to LEGO ideas, but didn't know if that would be ok with Martin since it's really his original design. I made a video about the LMMX build! kzitem.info/news/bejne/26RsuKyhpatlZI4 let me know if you think I should ask Martin about submitting to LEGO.

@@greenstar_studios Not to burst your bubble, but lego wouldn't be likely to make such a thing into an official set, too niche an audience. This would be much better suited for MOCHUB. You just create instructions and a parts list, and once uploaded to mochub, those interested can buy the instructions on the site, and the parts they need via bricklink. I hope Lego's at least somewhat aware of the project though, they could learn a few things from martin and his team.

tip for future when complete: have a Bass Clef etched into the vertical "separation plates"! :D Sweet Fusion360 work, and as always, jealous of your CNC router.
