If your data is using a different utf encoding you might need a different encode() parameter in the pd.read_csv() command. Do you type in other languages on this machine? (like languages that don't use the latin alphabet). That might mean that you are generally using a different character encoding.

I am working in Ubuntu, and generally use gedit, nano, or just the default, which is called "text editor"

@@bpatricksullivan much appreciated, when I put those csv file either by text editor or excel, it will be shown as .csv.gsheet after mounting, then may or may not be the reason python read_csv still can't find the path or file? Please help!
