Thank you very much for that information. I already had my Gate hub never knew I could place alongside/in my Xumm wallet! 😁👍Nice 🀄

Done. Just imported two old Gatehub accounts with FLR trust lines. Worked like a charm. Thank you.

Did I understand correctly, you just imported your seed from Gatehub into Xumm?

thanks for the video; how can i exchange gatehub iou for bitstamp iou?
@Codeward
2 жыл бұрын
Hey no problem, there's a couple ways to achieve this: 1. Convert Gatehub IOU -> XRP -> Bitstamp IOU 2. Using the pathfinder xApp, I believe you can convert one for the other, which basically follows the path of option 1

Hey, thx for video but I was wondering, is it possible to get that fixed 10 xrp on gatehub back this way ?
@Codeward
2 жыл бұрын
Sort of, yes, because you own the private key/seed, you can recover the account reserve, but that's minus the burn fee, which i believe is 5XRP.. tho that may have been updated to 2 with the updated 10/2 reserve but I believe it may still be 5...

@@Codeward ok I think on xumm wallet it's indeed 5. maybe it would be wise to wait a bit maybe it will be changed soon.

Can you do a video of this but with Bitstamp?
@Codeward

I dont have a bitstamp account but I can see about setting one up. However, if they offer a private key for the XRP account, it would be the same process, just a matter of finding the key if offered

If I import from my ledger to xumm and give full access, does that mean I'll no longer be able to recover my account using my ledger?
@Codeward
9 ай бұрын
No, you'll still be able to recover using your Ledger, it just means: - your account is available in both wallets - you lose the security of knowing which wallet was compromised should anything ever happen Ledger is a cold wallet, mainly used for storage, not day to day transactions. While I trust XUMM more than Ledger personally, its a software/mobile wallet which is generally used as a "hot wallet". However, i gave up on my Ledger and just stick to XUMM personally... Just remember: Your XRP account lives on the XRP Ledger, not the wallet. The wallet is just a means to interact with your account.

I see. So is it possible to go from full access to read only? I just wanted to import from ledger to xumm in order to take part in the Evernode airdrop. I don't like the idea of having all my xrp on my phone
@Codeward

@@IIiiakumaiiII absolutely, tap on Settings -> Accounts -> select account -> Access Level -> Read only Ahh, just read the notice. So yea, you can import and register for the airdrop, then just switch the account to read only, or can even just remove it and then you'd just reimport whenever needed.

Hi, I need help. I do not have a gatehub verified account with Xaman yet. I sent some Xspectar tokens to Xaman walet but never arrived. Is it because I need a verifief gatehub account? Thank you in advance

Can you merge a gatehub and existing xumm wallet?
@Codeward
3 жыл бұрын
Yes you can, however I would likely merge an existing account into the Gatehub account, but yes it's possible to merge the Gatehub account into an existing one in XUMM using the Account Merge tool. I have another video on how to perform this process.
