This could be biased since I went from being a demon grinder to challenge player, but I actually found challenges to help me improve a LOT at this game. I was able to tackle harder gameplay in harder levels since I was used to short, hard gameplay, and if anything, It'd improve my mindset when I was able to do the hardest parts of the hardest extremes in such little time. I also think consistency can come naturally with most things, considering there's only 1 thing which can build consistency. Practice. All in all great video!
@viking2204
Жыл бұрын
I just got a pc to play gd on and I started of by playing challenge to improve,mostly wave ship and ball I also tried to beat part in extremes like michigans and cracks part in bloodbath and 58-100 in cataclysm. because the part are short I never got mad and had a lot of fun my skill increased a lot by doing that im trying to beat nine circles and i have 80% in 700att i also worked on constantly by playing easier long levels like death moon.

There’s definitely merit to trying out runs on harder levels, which some challenges are very similar to. Again though, you have to build consistency at your skill level too
@AlexTT666

yes well said, challenges are very underrated when it comes to improvement in the game. Cause when you play levels with the hardest gp that you possibly can your skill just skyrockets. And then you also get better at passing chokepoints consistently in very hard levels.

It depends on the person. Sakupen Hell is short, wave-heavy and has a hard part at the end. While Bloodbath is a long, mostly ship-heavy level with no difficult parts in the second half. Sakupen Hell might be harder because it's so much more challenging than Bloodbath that it makes up for it being short, but Bloodbath in turn is more legendary, so it can in theory feel harder for some people because of the history surrounding the level. I beat both levels but can't have a valid opinion on how their difficulty can be compared because I fluked Bloodbath from 52% (the parts in the second half mostly really aren't difficult, I'm not saying this because I fluked the level this hard obviously) and in Sakupen Hell I fluked 47-81% and then 81-100%. I played Bloodbath on 300fps and Sakupen Hell on 180fps, but had way way more non-bypass (60hz) practice with Sakupen Hell. Bloodbath took me a couple hours, while Sakupen Hell took me no more than 14 minutes with barely any preparation for normal mode playing with the bypass. That said, Sakupen Hell was easier for me.

Even as an extreme demon "Grinder" this was extremely helpful. You pointed out several things I had never thought about, and I'll try implementing some of the tips you mentioned. Overall one of the best guides I've seen for any video game ever.

Well, i first beat all the main easy levels and i left the demons for later. So i started with the map packs and then started playing more user made levels. Then I started practising Clubstep and Toe 2. I beat Clubstep in the first month of playing GD, but I beat The Nightmare and The Lightning Road first. So then, I Practise Toe 2 more and I beat it in the second month of playing. After that I started getting the secret coins (Also I beat Clubstep and Toe 2 with all the coins). Then, I started playing more easy demons and I have reached to this day, 28 demons. Then I started practising Deadlocked more and I beat it in the fourth month. Also, in the 4 - 5 months I am playing I got 3000 stars, 700 user coins, 89 secret coins, a total of 150.000 orbs and over 5.500 diamonds. I am really proud of myself for getting these achievements. Also thank you for these tips. They will help me a lot and now and in the future!!

Ditched machine could be a nice entry to hard demons, it difficulty is more close to a medium demon and could help you get good at asymetrical duals that alot of harder demons will have.

adding on to the mid tier extremes, fusion z is really good for consistency and basically every gamemode. it has alot of pretty tough parts (exampl the wave at 37) but for its length, its really consistent and fun. i highly recommend it. Edit: one thing i forgot to mention is that it helps with nerve control. doing levels like dark travel and hypnotic travel help so much with nerve control. thank you!

I personally don't think that doing Fexty is a good idea when you begin to play Entry Extremes, because it has terrible balancing (most of the level is like hard demon difficulty, but the wave in the middle along with parts like the swing copter and dual ship are mid tier extreme if not harder in my opinion). If people try to beat Fexty when trying to beat Entry Extreme Demons, they might get very demotivated and get pissed off, and they might feel like they won't be able to do it, just because of the middle parts of the level, which are feelings that most people don't want to feel when they play levels.

this is the type of stuff that new players need to see. It was all well-worded, properly thought-out, and extremely dense in helpful knowledge. Most of the friends I have actually discourage me to play long levels, or things I want to play(some of which appears in your list) which really motivates me. I shouldn’t play what my peers think I should, just because I want to please them. Thanks, npesta for sharing this content to us, I’m sure we all agree that this is the most comprehensive guide to Geometry Dash.

no. from my experience keep going and feel like your victory was well earned, i died past 90% 14 times on CraZy II And i died at 97% and I Was Very Sad, But I Kept Going. And the next Thursday I Died At 97% Again But My Consistency was good that day i wasnt mad. and 30mins after that i beat it. and i was happy. it was a good feeling. keep going even if you die at the end a bunch of times, and in the end its worth it.
