That aerator (or any that seems overly restrictive) could also have been half clogged with calcium.

Pipes with corrosive water flowing through them since 1941 are my problem. The water has just enough room to come through 1 molecule at a time.

that's certainly one method but in most cases all you really need to do is to remove the flow restrictor that comes pre-installed in virtually every faucet sold today. the flow restrictor is a small black o ring that is just under the plastic mesh on the top side of the aerator. pop the plastic mesh off and pluck out the small black o ring, you will be quite surprised by the result.

Good video. I actually had an aerator fail once, that I had to replace. I have also put a flow control valve on my shower head to conserve water.

Completely understand why you would do this but I can't help but think of the seinfeld episode where Kramer gets a black market shower head😂. Great stuff though!

If only it really worked like that. I'd get the shower head for washing elephants too. ;-)

My grandfather built a house in 1933, and he sold it in 1974. And in all those years, neither the kitchen nor the bathroom faucets had an aerator. That was not that uncommon back then. Took forever to get a cool glass of water, but it was great water! Low pressure in the line, I suppose. I'm going to check my faucets now! Tom

I didn't realize they were called aerators or that there were different options for gallons/minute. Good to know! Stuff & Things, indeed. Cool 80's Mall vibe opening, BTW.

Is this the beginning of a new series? Professional knowledge broken down for us laymen to help with everyday problems? I love it! Plus, no connection to a certain wonderful, fragrant yummy leaf, so this one can be monetized...

Thanks for watching! The "How to do StuffandThings" series has been around for a while, but I may post more DIY style videos too.
