HD rumble is actually pretty good for this. You can feel very clearly whether your move connects, swings or is blocked, for example. I have found myself looking away from the screen for a second, then getting hit and instantly DI'ing in the right direction, because you can also feel where you get hit from.

In this honest case, is this why some genres don't fit for us? Being reactive as requirement for being a pro is too much. At times, it could be a factor why some enjoy strategy turn based games more than other games where reactive presses and actions are very valuable

Just play against CPU’s. And practice a specific subject at a time like teching, Shielding and parrying, etc. I believe this is how M2K used to practice in Melee. He’d just play against Ai opponents nonstop and imagine how different each game would play out if he was fighting against a real person.

How do reads differ from reactions?
@robertwindshade7629
4 жыл бұрын
Reads are predictive, reactions are... well, reactionary. Reads are when you guess what your opponent will do, reactions are when you react to something they do.
@redsnake2067
4 жыл бұрын
Often times, the opponent making the read will input an attack before the other person inputs their move. This isn't quite reacting to the move, rather predicting where or what your opponent will do.
