Guys I normally use all the exercises mentioned in the video to get a basic level of conversation before I try to speak to native speakers, such as speaking with a language exchange partner. Even though I start practicing with a language exchange partner, I still do these kinds of exercises in parallel. This video is meant to share my experience and give you inspiration. If you have any better methods or know of any useful apps, please share them with us in the comments. Much love!🥰🥰🥰

This is the first time I've seen a language youtuber differentiate between pronunciation and accent and not obsess with the latter, which is sooo refreshing to hear! In my opinion, bringing a foreign accent into a language only enriches it.

For Spanish, accents matter because it can be very different and your ears have to be trained for it. And it doesn’t hurt to speak the way you want. Actually everyone has an accent, it just depends on how it sounds.

I'm a bit behind in catching up on your videos, but this is so motivational for me. I'm learning Korean and while I'm okay with speaking (as far as my beginner level allows) I struggle with listening comprehension. One, these tips are very helpful for listening AND speaking so I will try them. Two, the fact that you said three years ago you were afraid to speak English and now you are fluent enough to do these long videos really inspires me. Thank you!

I really enjoy your videos! Your suggestion of writing a list of words with difficult sounding letters is spot on! I used that technique when I taught my Spanish students to speak English better ... and you have reminded me to use the same technique for my current two target languages, Darija Moroccan Arabic and Spanish. Another top tip that I have used with my students is to pick an English song that they like and learn to sing it. It is a great education in pronunciation and accent building techniques. And singing in your target language is FUN!

During my studies , i was frustrated with the difficulties of reading text ,articles and listings so i made a huge effort to these two skills Reading and Listening so thanks to allah i now can easily understand context for both skills, after that I relieved ! but the enormous shock was when i wanted to speak my mind went blank , is seem I've no acknowledge to the language, so now I'm here watchig videos of improving speaking skills. As you can see i can reasonably write but I'm aware of my grammar mistakes not only grammar but the missing of using difficult and popular structures, idioms and phrasal verbs, because i haven't been practice nor using the language and when i use it with my friends , they don't correct me! i didn't bring the grammar subject, i was making huge effort of course to learn it but i hated it ! all because the confesion Qs .... then i heard a horrible person saying dont waste ur time on grammar even native have mistakes in grammar speciality so i take his words i count on him and u know the result...well in conclusion learing never ends it ends when ur life ends thank you ! i will appreciate if you response .
