@@KevinStratvert actually I slightly disagree with you. On my 2.5 gig plan wi-Fi 6E is faster than Ethernet. Most residential consumer grade products have 1 gig LAN ports. However most consumer devices are getting Wi-Fi 6 and is faster than a wired connection ironically enough, at least for now. Although I’m completely agree with you 99. 999% of the time a wired connection is always superior. However, I use Wi-Fi 6 for my PlayStation 5 because I can download games faster than over the 1 Gb ethernet port bottleneck.

One thing concerning the router location is to consider the signal strength of each device. My router has a "Status" page with "Wireless" sub page. It shows me the current signal strength for each connected device and the expected Mbps. Adjust your router location while watching the live signals. It's not always going to be so cut and dry as to putting the router in the middle of the house. With my home having a 2nd story I have to have the router at the base of the stairs just to get an 80% signal upstairs. Meanwhile, the rest of the house shows 100% signal strength. Once you find the best location, fine tune your signal again with the antenna by moving each antenna one notch at a time.

You have the entire package for a very successful career. Good looking, clean-shaven, and nice smile. Most importantly, you explain things in a fashion that most of us can understand. Myself, like many others, learn best by auditory and visual examples. You do an excellent job teaching with your combination of A&V and are not going 100mph and give simple definitions. No, I am not LD! It's obvious that most of the people on Utube do not know their subject matter and gloss over things they really know nothing about. It's no wonder you have so many followers. For your MTU is set to about 1500, which I found out is to big, so I trimmed of the size down to 1412 and that was the maximum that I could get a response from the ping test without any loss - I did try a bit bigger but 1412 was the limit. Once that was set internet performance was restored. You can do this for both wired and wireless connections...
