Good tips there mate. I'm working towards my peak bench currently. 12 week program I'm at week8. My goal was to get to 120kg by week12. Last session i got to 115kg. Felt like i could do 120kg but decided to call it a win and go work on my accessories. I'm feeling my shoulders really need work, so i will try what you've mentioned here. Cheers

@LairdRoss update....got sick 2 weeks lost. Came back to gym....grade 1 pec tear.....life is fun sometimes haha currently rehabbing the pec. Hopefully in next few weeks I'll be back to upper body. In the meantime just training legs.

Could you explain why you seem to use 10s for bench but 8s or 5s for squats? Would 4x10 for squats work to a lesser degree? Thanks for all the info you put out!

I just find form breaks down more on squats with 10 reps than it does with 5s and 8s

Legs are a major part, when my legs where weak I’d catch a cramp in my hips where the insertion of the quads meets the hip area, what do you think of hip thrusts to assist in bench?

If that is where you are cramping then leg extensions will be better
