Good timing! Last night I ate something bad....and as I lay in bed I was slowly breathing in and out to try and feel better. As I couldn't sleep, I was reflecting on other times I have done this either when I felt sick or had a lot of pain. I believe our breath can heal us!! Thank you for sharing :)

Lana Iannuccilli Hi Lana! Do whatever works to slowly fill up the lungs. I don't believe there is a one and only way to breathe as long as it's slow and deep. ❤️

Thanks, Sherry! I got one of those contraptions lol after an emergency surgery. Shallow breathing is our pattern in pain and in dealing with anxiety. I have been dealing with both lately! My naturopath told me I wasn't breathing into the bottom half of my lungs - this is what you see in chronic lung disease, but mine is caused by pain/anxiety as well as a newish diagnosis of asthma. So I'm naturally working on deepening the breath with meds and muscles. It's a long slow process when starting with a lot of pain and other stuff, so I advise people to be gentle and don't give up!

Jane's Chair Yoga Hi Jane! Thanks for sharing the "real" life issues around this contraption. I'm sorry to hear about your ER visit, but I know you know how to take care of yourself so give yourself ALOT of grace. Healing takes time. Sending you a big hug of encouragement!🌻🌷🌸 love, Sherry

@@YogaVistaTV Thanks Sherry, that particular emergency visit was over ten years ago, but your video reminded me! I'm actually not great at self care - as so many of us carers aren't - but hey, we work at it all the time! Hugs!

Look into nose breathing. The breathable body, jar the nose for breathing and the mouth for eating.

Cindy Mulvey totally understand what you're saying.. very true. This contraption helps build up lung capacity in a measurable way. It's not meant for every day breathing. Yogic breaths are through the nose! 👍 Blessings to you! Sherry

I really love your videos! I have one helpful thing, I hope, to say...Maybe it's just me, but I doubt it...when KZitem plays the very same commercial over and over and over, it's annoying beyond belief. It is possible you have, and/or will lose viewers because of this...Maybe if you watch a few of the same videos every day as your viewers do, you will understand my point. Right now it's the asian lady talking about not retiring. OMG! Mind warping! Maybe if different commercials could be rotated on each video? Any change up would be better! I know your videos can help so many. I don't want anyone to stop watching because of this annoying commercial replay thing!

Hi Jane! I have minimal control over what KZitem does with their ads. KZitem is free for us all, and we know nothing in life is truly free. There is always an asterisk in the deal. Glad you will hang in through those ads. Love, Sherry ❤️
