You didn't show how you (didn't) tighten the two smaller timing cover bolts at the top using a, torque wrench, to 15 pounds... conveniently omitted that considering you can't.

Vid saved me further aggravation when installing my 1994 F-150 5.0 harmonic balancer. Don't know why the rental tool doesn't come with a spacer needed to press on the balancer on these Ford crankshafts. Though, not mentioned in the vid, I did see that you used an old timing gear as a spacer. Great idea and it worked for me. You should make another vid focusing only on the removal and installation of these Ford balancers. Also prior to installing, warming them up in an oven at 250 degrees for 15-20 minutes and immediately installing them will help ease the process. Great vid, thanx!

warm the balancer itself? I rememeber years and years ago with my first timing cover install I did put a gear in the oven. I believe it was the one that went on the crank and I think it was 2 gears where I believe one went on fine but had to put the other in the oven.

next time i drive my 94 that will confirm rather it was the bypass hose or the timing gasket leaking. I will also check my book to see when was the last time I replaced the WP. I don't usually like replacing things that don't need it but understand why some do while they are in that area lol........

Do you need to put any sealant between the area where the cork gaskets meet the rest of the rubber oil pan gasket and timing cover? I've seen other videos where they put a healthy-sized glob there, or say you don't need much, to saying it's not necessary as once it's torque to spec it should form a fairly tight seal.
@latemodelrestoration

I wouldn't use cork gaskets. Yes, you need RTV in the corners where the oil pan meets the timing cover. That procedure is shown in our oil pan gasket replacement video (linked below). Use a one-piece oil pan gasket. -Landan kzitem.info/news/bejne/ooB32XqQrZibqKQfeature=shared&t=335

2 Questions I will be using the cork corner piece gaskets on front of oil pan and bottom of timing cover. Should I place and seal the cork gaskets to the timing cover then install it or place and seal them on front of oil pan then install the cover? Next when should I install the 4 front oil pan bolts that connect to timing cover? After I install the cover water pump and balancer or sometime before?

What kind of oil do use for the harmonic balancer and timing chain
@latemodelrestoration

Sam - If you'd like, a thin layer of RTV silicone sealant can be applied to both sides of the water pump gasket to ensure a proper seal, but is not strictly necessary. -Landan
