Thorough video showing all the steps. Storm took my 20 footer down last week after 30 years, so I'll be getting a new pole soon. After having this for a couple years now, how is she holding up ? Thanks kindy!

Still doing great, nice and straight just gotta replace the flags every couple seasons. It even inspired both my neighbors to put up flag poles and the neighbor across from me. Love drinking a cup of coffee in the morning and watching the flags in the wind

@@MattsFinds That's good to know and I appreciate your reply. Was a little concerned with how well the twist locks held up to the raising and lowering in storms over time. So, with your recommendation, I believe the telescopic pole is the way I will go. Appreciate it!

Correct you would need to go deeper. You can look up your state's recommended depth

You can’t go too far because the sleeve is only 20 inches with 18 inches set in the concrete. I live in the Pittsburgh area of Pennsylvania and I went down a total of 30 inches. Then layered the hole with five inches of sand and five inches of pea gravel. Never had an issue with ground freeze.

Technically the US flag should be taken down when it rains

An “all weather” flag, basically nylon or polyester, is authorized to be flown in inclement weather including rain.
