Here's a helpful tip (I wish someone had told me) with regards to the drain plug lever system: at first I couldn't get the drain plug to stay closed when I pulled the drain stem up. The secret? Make sure the plastic cap that goes over top the metal rod with the ball thingy is tightened up good. If it is loose, the stem drops and the drain cap will not stay closed. Keep it tight so there is resistance and it should stay closed.

This is a European mounting system that's been around for ages, nothing new and definitely not designed by you.

How can you tell if you have a thick or thin deck for the mounting bracket? I have an under counter sink.
