Right on Time, I have a Dell I3050 and installed Batocera from your previous vid on a flash drive, and was working very well. This video is just in time, I ordered the Xbox receiver to connect my xbox controllers and is out for delivery from Amazon to connect to it and want to permanently install on internal SSD. Great Vids, keep 'em coming. Sub'd for life.

For those who have problems with *black screen* after booting Batocera from internal HDD and trying to play games from USB my solution is: The USB has to be NTFS (not FAT32). Format your USB stick in *NTFS* before letting Batocera create the recallbox folders. Also I couldn't manage to use internal HDD NTFS partitions to play games from (or FAT32). Batocera doesn't recognize them as a storage in the options. Hopefully they add the option to run everything from internal HDD in the future. It would save USB ports for player 2.

Update: I just downloaded the Recalbox x86 / x64 img file and used etcher to flash it to my ssd using a cheap data to ssd USB adapter. After inserting it internally, it booted right up, finished the installation and it shows all 115gb of my internal hard drive. I did not have to do anything to the partition. I have not gotten that far in an install yet, but I have a guess about using Gparted on Linux to either expand that 6G partition all the way out or create a second partition using the rest of the drive just for storage.

This is AMAZING! I LOVE this idea. I have been using an old laptop with HDMI out to play games on Windows, but spend WAY more time updating Windows than playing. Also it's a LOT slow. Can't even come close except with SNES titles. I have a HDD just floating around that I will use now! However... I'm wondering. Speeds should be best with flash memory as opposed to a spinning disk platter, but does Batocera support flash drives over 32Gb ($5 BTW)? I can't quite remember, but I think there was a format change in the sizes between even 32gb and 64gb. I am thinking about getting a 128gb ($15-20) and loading ALL of my games to it :D. If anyone has done this please let me know!

Batocera is a fork of RecalBox, lots of things can be shared, both between PC-PC or Pi-Pi RetroPie as you know it, is EmulationStation and or Attract Mode, EmulationStation had been PC base for a while, it was Ported to Linux based so run on the Pi's and other SBC's

I select the disk (Saegate 500Gb not formatted or partitioned), I choose x64 as the system and confirm. The DELL is connected to the internet via LAN but at the time of the download it gives me an error message. In the LOG file referring to the installation it says that the problem is not having enough space for the 1.9GB of the file. Do you have some advice? Thank you...

Hey ETA Prime, I've got a pile (about 40) of old, working, IBM Lenovo Thinkcenter computers. They are all identical machines, date stamped from 2002, that came from a restaurant franchise order station upgrade. They all have a 40G hard drive and 2G ram (1G X 2 DDR2). Due to the order taking software being protected my only option is to format the drive and not have an operating system. I know games for NES would be smaller files then say Xbox games so my question is, about how much storage space would you recommend for having about 25 games per "system" for nes, snes, N64, and Sega Genesis, also with having batocera on the same drive?
