use a diamond speaker as a center channel to build your front stage, check out iasca or meca built cars for inspiration. you dont need the center channel amped so wiring it from the deck is enough. also check out headway lithium batteries since youre getting a bigger amp, its lighter than agm and they can be hooked up with agm batteries without damaging them. parker dacchille has them in his toyota sequoia powering a taramp 12k amp with 2 headway lithiums and 2 agm batteries on stock alternator for now. he sits on 14v and he doesnt drop under 13v or 13.5v. the headway cost around $200.00 which is cheaper than buying a 120ah agm battery plus weight savings

This may be a dumb question but im confused on if you need 4 midranges for a component system, 2 for the front and 2 for the rear deck. I see every component system only come with 2 so what should go where the rear deck speakers are, coaxial, mids, or something else?
@Kpaceguy

Matching coaxial usually goes in the back but you can do another set of components if you want

Is it recommended to use the component in the front and co axial in the rear or vice versa ? does it make a difference ?
@Kpaceguy

You typically want to match what's in your car from factory. But component usually goes in the front

@@Kpaceguy ALWAYS take free products for review! You are probably getting a lot of hits for your car audio because most people follow the other ones - you know who - and none of them has touched on car audio! Question for you: if I’m using the stock radio in my car, can I still use the crossovers? I’ve run speaker wire from my tweeter and woofer to crossover, but Im not sure where to get the wiring from to power the crossover…
@Kpaceguy
2 жыл бұрын
It wouldn't serve any purpose to use a crossover with your stock radio because it's crossed over internally. The only need to use it is if you need to power more speakers than your stock system can power then In that case you'll plug the speaker output of the radio to the crossover and power your speakers with the crossover. You're honestly in need of an aftermarket radio to benefit at all from a component set of speakers.

@@Kpaceguy thank you so much for replying to my question! I’m a total newbie, so it’s super helpful. My main goal was just to replace 2 blown woofers in my 2009 Scion XB. However, now that I’m going down the rabbit hole, if I were to get a new head unit, do you know what would work well to power a JBL GTO609C 6.5-Inch Component System? That’s what I bought to replace the blown woofers. Came with new tweeters too.

what if crosover is not installed? and speaker and tweater just connect to where the old ones used to connect.
@Kpaceguy

That's ok IF the radio has a crossover built in and the low frequencies aren't being sent to the tweeter. A lot of car radios don't have a crossover for the tweeters they just use capacitors to limit the bass.

I came across on your video, because i have been wanting to upgrade my hu and front and rear speakers. Theoritically, if i have changed my front speakers with component speakers with tweeter and coaxial speakers at the back. Is it feasible? And is it necessary to use an amp?

@@RafaelTheMusician yes that'll be fine and no you don't need an amp UNLESS you plan to play loud and at that point I'd look into a small amp. Something as little from Walmart would do Just fine for you

@@Kpaceguy i really appreciate your input. It really helps a lot. And i just want to clarify one more thing. Do i need a subwoofer? Cause they were saying as component speakers doesnt have subs i also need one as well. Is this why we use coaxial at the rear so that we can have a subwoofer, tweeter and speaker and the rear. I want to have it all seperately, but im just being practical. Hahah
