Hey Anthony, maybe you could help me with planning an advanced CMX install? I'm planning to use a POC channel programmed for Siren 2 (SV20). Do you happen to know if that POC setting of Siren 2 is a steady output (not pulsed like horn honk) and only during Full Alarm mode? I would like to use it to trigger some Strobe lights when the alarm has been triggered, but not with arm/disarm/remote start confirmation. Siren 2 seems like the only way to accomplish this. I'll be using a relay to convert the (-) POC into a 12v trigger for the strobe controller. I think this will be a cool way to add more attention to the vehicle when in Alarm mode! Thanks for any help u can share! P.S. Are you already tinkering with the Drone XC dashcam? I'm excited to try one! Can't wait to get ride of my DIY Version i made! (Took the instant trigger and prewarn outputs, diode isolated them, and used them in conjunction with a 1 sec timer relay and 12v to 3v converter to power a small 3v vibrating motor. That motor was 3m taped to a Thinkware dashcam. So whenever in parking mode my alarm was triggered (instant or prewarn), it shocked the dvr into thinking an impact occurred while parked. Thus giving a locked recording and notification on my phone. Was pretty neat to make that work back then!

Pretty smart idea with your dash cam! I haven't play with "siren 2" but your logic makes sense. You might also be able to play with the setting of "horn" and maybe latch or prolong its programming, as horn only activates on second arm or during security activation.

@AnthonyJ350 Ah okay! Thanks Anthony!! Yeah that dashcam modification was awesome to have man! Previous attempts used timer relay to turn the dashcam on with alarm triggers (essentially mimicking turning ignition on), but that didn't give you any locked/saved parking impact files, nor phone notifications. I also have a wifi hotspot In the truck which gave wifi to the dvr for any notifications and for remote live view I had the hotspot being powered off of a dashcam Battery pack, and then the battery pack being trickle charged by a solar panel This made for a very convenient self-sustained system that never threatened to drain my batteries With the new Drone XC Dashcam I am hoping to keep some of those features but within a more convenient package !

I think the CMX is perfect for that generation of truck. I prefer it for most of my installs. On that install, "turn off tach sensing" and just set it to crank for like 2.5 seconds. The truck will never overcrank and will remote start reliably every time.

Blade is required for immobilizer integration or using compustar controlled operation for locks, door pin etc if the vehicle is compatible. A full analog vehicle does not require the Blade for operation.

Hi Anthony, where did you install the shock sensor? I believe it was a DAS II from the box image when you unpacked in the beginning of the video? Can the DAS II be hidden and still detect glass break ? I have seen it being mounted on the front window close to the antenna which did not seem to the right way?

This is great info, as I wasn't sure about the location where it should be installed, as it's also a glass break sensor, if it should be hidden or out in the open. If the mic sensor is adjustable to the extent to pick up glass breakage while installed under the dash it makes sense to be hidden. Thanks

You will probably want to program how it works. The horn wire is typically in the steering column.
