Thank you very much! I was curious, what diaphragm were in my JBL 2426 so I dismounted them. After assembling and calibration with your method they sound better than before. 🙂

Sir can you tell me how to I protect my tweeter because capacitor is only bass block but tweeter can also burn in high pass

Add lamps crossover fuse bulb in series with your tweeter. In general, high power and more added decibels in the high frequency equalizer are the main causes of tweeter burnout.

What software did you use to test the diaphragm position? Thanks
I used a battery to test the diaphragm on my vintage JBL driver, the diaphragm moved backward toward the back cover even I got the polarity right, why was that? I thought the diaphragm should move forward to the horn.

No, your diaphragm polarity is ok, after reading your comment, i opened my jbl 4430 horn drivers (2426h) and i found the same story like you. Don't wory, maybe the phase plug after diaphragm creates a delay , then the polarity must be changed to make 180° phase delay, i think 🧐

@@homemade_audioJBL used to use the opposite polarity of all other loudspeakers for many years. Up until the early 1990s any driver from JBL would move backwards away from the listening area when a positive voltage was applied to the positive terminal. In 1992, they changed this to match the standard that every other manufacturer on Earth uses, but only four drivers designed and released after that date. If you buy a driver that was originally released before 1992 it will still have the reverse polarity even if it was made yesterday.
