**UPDATE DEBUGGING ADVICE**
I have received a lot of comments from people who are having problems. I am not familiar with any of the error messages that are produced by GZDoom or any of the DOOM mods. Below are some general tips for people who are having issues.
1. Re-watch the tutorial, most of the people who are having issues missed a step in the tutorial go back and re-watch it to make sure that you haven't skipped a step.
2. Make sure that you are using the most up to date versions of any mods that you are using. Most importantly, check your GZDoom and Project Brutality versions, update them if they are out of date.
3. Make sure that mod files are placed in the correct section in ZDL. WADs like DOOM DOOM2 and Plutonia need to be placed in the "IWAD" section. Mods like Project Brutality, Visor HUD Mod, map packs, music mods etc... need to all be placed in the "External Files" section.
4. Check the load order. The load order can be viewed by looking at the "External Files" section within ZDL. Mods are loaded in descending order (the mod listed at the top is loaded first and so on). If mod "x" depends on mod "y" then mod "y" must be slotted above mod "x" in the "External Files" section.
5. If you have old computer hardware try using LZDoom. You can find LZDoom by following the GZDoom link above. LZDoom is the same as GZDoom but with less features to make it more compatible with older hardware. LZDoom is a source port so make sure that it is placed in the "Source Port" section of ZDL. Installing LZDoom should be exactly the same process as installing GZDoom.
6. Try changing the graphics settings in game. I read on a Reddit post that someone changed the amount of blood to normal which stopped the game from crashing a few seconds into game play.
7. If you can't seem to convert the Project Brutality file to a .pk3 file. Use Google to figure out how to change the file types. Make sure that you have ticked an option that allows you to view file extensions. Make sure that the file name is something like "Project_Brutality-master.pk3" and not "Project_Brutality-master.pk3.zip".
8. Make sure that the source port download matches your operating system. If you are using Windows 32-bit download the GZDoom 32 bit source port. If you are on Ubuntu 64-bit then download the Ubuntu 64-bit version of GZDoom; if you are running Windows 64-bit download the GZDoom 64 bit source port.
9. Check the issues tab on the Project Brutality Github page. Someone else might have had the same issue as you, more importantly they may have solved the problem.
10 (Windows 7). If you're using win 7 you have to type "file options" in the start menu search bar and uncheck "hide file extensions for known files" to properly rename project brutality.
Thanks Cor Draconibus!
11. If you are getting errors in game try download Project Brutality from the Github page linked below instead; it seems to have some bug fixes. I HAVE NOT TESTED THE LINK BELOW, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

12. Check the options menu in game for things like monster spawn rates and keybindings there are A LOT of options that you can change so please look at those.
