Hi there - I realize that you posted this video over a year ago, but I wanted to thank you for this, (and all your other), informative video(s). My new home has a concrete tank with no riser. After probing and some digging, I finally located the cover, 14" down. I'm interested in a riser to spare hunting and digging later. I have three questions for you, (if I may press my luck): 1. Is this system designed to replace my existing concrete cover, or would that cover sit inside of this riser? 2. If I should indeed remove my existing cover, I understand there is poisonous gas risk -- but am I safe to open it? (assuming I know not to fall in) 3. My (round) cover measures 26" across. Should I seek a riser kit with a 26" (or wider) diameter for my installation? Thank you very much! (Thank you!!!)

Jeremy, this system would replace your concrete lid and there isn't much risk to opening the lid since your tank is outside. The standard riser sizes are 24" and 30", if your hole is 26" you will need the 30" riser: www.rcworst.com/AFS-30-Diameter-PVC-Kor-Flo-Tank-Access-Riser-p11546.html Plastic Riser Tank Adapter: www.rcworst.com/Orenco-PRTA30-Riser-Tank-Adapter-p1316.html Bolt Down Kit: www.rcworst.com/Orenco-PRTA30BDKIT-Riser-Tank-Adapter-Bolt-Down-Kit-p1320.html 2x Ma320: www.rcworst.com/Orenco-MA320-Two-Part-Epoxy-p141.html

I realize this is a 2yr old video, but once you get your bolts in place on top of the tank, couldnt you pre-assemble the riser to the flange, to give you better access to spreading the epoxy, and then install and tighten your hold down bolts on the tank itself? You'd leave the concrete lid on of course while the riser and flange were curing. Im just thinking it would give more access to filling the connection points with the epoxy, and then install the flange and riser as one piece, Just curious if you could do it that way?

I don't see any issues with doing it that way. Great idea!

@@RCworstwater thank you for reply, i currently have my lids dug up and exposed, and i do not feel like digging 20in down again the next time. So im trying to talk myself into putting risers on it. Lol...

Are there kits that you can use to seal the 2 smaller maintenance ports (inlet & outlet) which are only about 3-4" wide? I recently bought a house, and found that these other 2 ports were closed off with only a plastic bucket cover set over them, no hold down other than packed down dirt. Not surprisingly I'm suspecting groundwater infiltration.

Those may be ports for electrical pump and alarm wires to go through... albeit they may not be utilized. Put something over the holes (plastic plate) and silicon it in place to keep ground water from permeating the chamber. You should be good to go.

I need a concrete riser for a 60" diameter tank and can't find one.

why is the cheap plastic so expensive? i cant understand the price of a riser being $230.00 or even the cheaper polylok so damn expensive. its ridiculous- Roto rooter wanted to install one for $700.00! LOL

ok so this is for a concrete tank, what about installing on a fiberglass tank?

Hey Brian, it entirely depends upon the tank manufacturer's guidelines. The Orenco fiberglass tanks we sell allow us to epoxy the risers directly onto the tank.

It should be MANDATORY to have a riser. Not having one when you put the tank in is just being cheap - looking at you builders. Just tacky.

My septic cement tank has only 2 ( 6 inch) clean out holes at top and nothing else. It is old, but works just fine. I need to put something so I don't have to dig it out every time I want it pump out. Suggestions?

How deep is it? You will need access to the lid to remove it, so a 24" riser is the smallest that we sell that would work. You might be able to find smaller ones at the box store.
