at the 14 min mark the removal of the rubber packing stops was SOOOO helpful. There is NOTHING in the instructions about this and only a little paper tab to indicate that this even needs to be done. Thank you!

We are happy to hear that the video helped. The rubber motor stops are actually mentioned twice in the manual, but we know there is a lot of information in the manual and it can be easily over-looked.

Is the wiring the same if I have 2 wall switches to the fan (one for the light, one for the fan)?
@ceilingfans101
9 ай бұрын
If you have 2 switches, the black wire (fan speed power) can be connected to one switch and the fan's blue wire (light power) can be connected to the other switch.

Do you know if the blades are able to be replaced with standard rectangular fan blades?
@ceilingfans101
Жыл бұрын
In general, fans should only be operated using the original blades or exact replacement blades. Motors are designed to operate with the blades included with the fan and changing blade size or shape can damage the motor.

Can you show a picture of the wires from the black outlet box(nn in the manual) I had added a remote and it quit working.Now I need to rewire without the remote.The fan works but not the lights.Thanks Charlie
@ceilingfans101
3 жыл бұрын
You can see the outlet box wires at the 9:55 mark. There should be 3 wires coming from the ceiling - Black (power), White (neutral), and bare copper (ground). If you have a red wire in the ceiling, it is most likely a switch wire and can be used instead of the house black wire. You would just cap off whichever wire you do not use (red or black). If using a remote or wall control, the fan speed must be set to high speed using the chain and the light set to on using the chain prior to using the remote or wall control. For wiring issues, we would suggest contacting a licensed electrician to make sure everything is done correctly.

This fan does not include a remote, but typically, you would just need to call the remote or fan manufacturer and order a replacement.

I have a question I install 2 out of 3 of these same fans. Two of them are conected to one switch and the other fan is connected to another switch. But one of the two fans that is conected to the same switch would not work. Do you think I did something that is making me not get power to one of the fans? Thanks in advanced
@ceilingfans101
Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the question. The 2 fans on one switch is probably an issue. In general, switches are only designed to power one device. The second fan is probably not getting the power it needs. To troubleshoot, connect only one fan to the switch and see if it works. If the issue persists, we would suggest calling Home Decorators Collection customer service at 1-800-986-3460. Their team is pretty good at troubleshooting over the phine.

We would suggest making sure that the fan's power wire (black) is still properly connected to the house black wire. Wires can sometimes loosen or disconnect during the installation. If that does not resolve the issue, we would suggest calling Home Decorators Collection customer service at 1-800-986-3460. Their team is pretty good at troubleshooting over the phone.

I got a brand new fan, installed it following the instructions correctly. When I turned on the breaker and the fan switch, I do hear a light hum from the motor. But the blades do not move. I gave them a push hoping something comes unstuck, but I am not getting much progress. The lights seem to be be working Any idea what can be wrong ?
@ceilingfans101

Is the wall switch a speed control? Have you tried wiring directly to the house instead of the switch? That would let you know if the issue is with the switch or the fan. If that doesn't help, we would suggest calling the Home Decorators Collection customer service team at 1-800-986-3460. They are pretty good at troubleshooting.

If the wall switch is a speed control, the fan speed pull chain should be set to high before using the speed control.

Typically, the red wire is a switch wire. If that's the case, the black house wire can just be capped off and not used. Then you would connect the fan's blue and black wire to the red wire which would allow you to turn the fan and light on/off with the switch. If you have any concerns about the wiring, we would suggest calling a licensed electrician.
