Same problem here. Also, the visual performance sucks. Did you find a solution for this?

Currently I'm using VMware Workstation 17 Pro and Windows 11, but for some reason Windows XP Within VMware (either x64 or x86 version) goes just too bad. Bad sound and the performance is the worst. I haven't been able to find a solution for this, and it seems that a lot of people is algo having this same issue but there's note apparent solution for this yet. Anyway, good video, for an old system that I was using it worked well, but now in my new system it's not; weird... UPDATE: I got a resolution for this problem within Windows 11. It seems that the Core Isolation option on Windows Security creates some conflicts between Hyper-V and VMware, creating a lot of problems and low performance. With this turned off, and the Hyper-V hypervisor also turned off, everything goes smooth again. :)

I have the same issue, sound sounds like it's slowed down like 0.25 speed. If you can elaborate on some step by step to help me out I'd love that. I'm not a tech savvy person, sorry.

@@IndustryOfMagic Sure, it will be my pleasure. :) If you are using Windows 11, go to the Windows Security application, then you click on "Device security" and then on "Core isolation details". There you will see a turn on/off button below "Memory integrity". You just turn that option off, restart the computer and check if that helps. :)

@@CamiloL38 Ok you pointed me towards a good direction but I had to do some extra steps. Aside from turning off the "Core Isolation" I also had to open the "Turn Windows Features" and disable the following: "Hyper-V", "Virtual Machine Platform", "Windows Hypervisor Platform". Then I did a restart and to check that they were disabled, I opened the msinfo32 and under the "Virtualization-based security" it was set its value to "Not enabled" after doing the restart. Then my sound problem was resolved.

@@IndustryOfMagic Oh, alright. Yes, probably I forgot that part since it's necessary to also turn off Hyper-V itself (I usually did with a CMD command). But well, I'm very happy it worked for you. Enjoy. :D
