Enforcement Directorate also known as ED is one of the best investigation agency of India. It investigates complex, High Profile and intricate cases generally related to economic offences.
To become a ED Officer is an achievement. But the task of AEO in ED or any ED Officer is not easy. To become an Officer in Enforcement Directorate one has to undergo a selection process of written and/or Oral exams followed by physical and medical conducted by Staff Selection Commission so that only the best can join ED.
1. Educational Qualification: To be eligible to become a ED officer one must be a graduate i.e. one must have a Bachelor in any stream.
2. Age Limit for ED : The candidate must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained 27 years of age. The upper age limit will be relaxed for OBC and SC/ST candidates.
3. Physical Requirements are generally same for male and female candidates, detailed in the video.

How to Join ED as AEO
The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) is a law enforcement agency and economic intelligence agency responsible for enforcing economic laws and fighting economic crime in India. It is part of the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, Government Of India. It is composed of officers from the Indian Revenue Service, Indian Police Service and the Indian Administrative Service as well as promoted officers from its own cadre. The total strength of the department is less than 2000 officers out of which around 70% of officials came from deputation from other organizations while ED has its own cadre, too.
The prime objective of the Enforcement Directorate is the enforcement of two key Acts of the Government of India namely, the Foreign Exchange Management Act 1999 (FEMA) and the Prevention of Money Laundering Act 2002 (PMLA) and The Fugitive Economic Offenders Act, 2018 (FEOA).
The Directorate of Enforcement, with its headquarters at New Delhi, is headed by the Director of Enforcement. There are five regional offices at Mumbai, Chennai, Chandigarh, Kolkata and Delhi headed by Special Directors of Enforcement. Zonal offices of the Directorate are at Pune, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Kochi, Delhi, Panaji, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jalandhar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna and Srinagar. These are headed by a Joint Director.
