You make great videos, I really enjoy the details you give, as someone who plays pool regularly I find them quite useful! Subscribed!👍

nice tips dude! for the air bridge jump shot, try to stick your elbow to the side of your body, it should give more stability to the bridge.

I use to use J/b cues, now I use a viking vahalla play cue, a shaft that matches it for breaking,and now a jump cue. Once in a while I will use my Snooker Riley cue

For your "air bridge" when it is used, they rest their wrist or forearm on their hips or waist. Super rare to ever see this though. I only see trick shot experts do it.

When you're explaining an advanced shot, you can assume people know the basics such as what angle to hit a ball. It took you 5 minutes to get to the point because you were reiterating the basics, on a video about an advanced shot. I liked the video, don't get me wrong. Just trying to give a tip for the future.

But there are people like me who need to hear the whole thing because I just started researching pool to play it. It's an advanced shot to perform but it's not Astro physics, it's just lining up and hitting it. So I appreciate the top to bottom run through and I'm sure there are more of me around

So the moral of this video is “always use floating closed grip when jumping during tournaments”. Got it. Great video. Thank you.

Thanks for the videos. We think you should go straight to the point and cut down the unnecessary points/examples like "we don't have options to bank because 6/8 ball is blocking". You can put the examples ball there, but no need to explain them. Most of us who come here just want to to get to the point to make a jump shot.

He still didn't explain WHERE to hit the cue call, did he? That's so very important!! I used to do jump shots when I was playing in the military. I was very good. Should have played for money, but always refused. (People can get really pissed over money pool!) But somehow, I've forgotten since I haven't played in about 20 years. (I just turned 50) I think I hit the cue ball direct center, towards the core of the ball... But he didn't reiterate that detail, did he?? I don't know why he didn't spend any time on that detail. It's probably the most important aspect of jumping a ball. IMO

This set up looks exactly the same as a massé. What do you do differently from a massé shot to make the ball jump? Also, I’ve been jumping balls simply by striking the ball very low to the table, without raising my arm to a high angle. Is this allowed?
@jrarreola2728

You're scooping the ball at the bottom to make the ball jump which is a foul, that's the wrong way to jump a cue ball. The way he demonstrates to jump the cue ball is the correct way. You've been doing it wrong the whole time all beginners do.

Camera angle is terrible here. Lots of empty table and chopping off a lot of your body that's important to the demonstration. :-)
