Awesome presentation! Is there a way to have the slides advance automatically / timed instead of requiring the button click? I'd like to make some music flash cards for sight-reading practice and want them to advance automatically after a certain time interval, but want them to appear in random order (also -- I'll want to be able to change the timed interval to be slower or faster) . Thanks -- love your channel!

I am trying to use the 3rd method and I followed your steps EXACTLY, but it is still not working for me. Why, and how do I fix it?

Hello. I was wondering if it is possible to make a code that allows you to go back to a title slide, while also keeping the randomization without duplicates. What I would like is: I have a title screen, I press a button that takes me to a "random slide" between X and Y. Then on the XY slide, I have a button that takes me back to the title screen, where I can give points to a team Then I can press the "Random slide" button again, and not get a duplicate. I have only been able to make it do a random slide, but it will duplicate once I go back to the "title screen". Thank you for all your help, I have been learning a lot in the last month, and these videos have been great.

Hi there! We can look into this, but if you are interested in awarding points to a team on any slide, you can check out this video here: kzitem.info/news/bejne/woen0KaarX95f6A. With ClassPoint's leaderboard and stars, you can give your participants points no matter which slide you are on

Hi Sara, Is there a code option that would enable the user during the slideshow to mark slides so that they are not any more included in the next shuffling? I'd need it for teacing / revising words and exclude the ones that are learnt while running the presentation. Or any other solution for the problem? Thnx

Hi Erno! We haven't seen a way to do this yet, but we will try & keep you updated!

@@ClassPoint - you might be able to set up an array (numeric) -- start with it initialized (empty), and as each slide is used, enter the slide number into the array; have the presentation code random check to see if the number is in the array and skip any that are there, with a break-out when the last one is used so as not to get into an endless loop ... Or -- set up a numeric array, have the random generator pre-populate it for all slides (with no duplicates - include code to prevent an endless loop) and then have the presentation simply present slides sequentially from the array (which is randomized). just a thot. 🙂

I am wanting to shuffle only certain slides. For example shuffle slides 2-10 then stop shuffling for slide 11 and start shuffling again for slides 12-30 Is this possible?

Hi Erin, you can do this by creating 2 codes with Method 3, which starts at 5:22. Make the first slide 2, and last slide 10. Then in the Sub random slide, you can change the "ActivePresentation.Slideshowwindow.view.gotoslide (1)" to "ActivePresentation.Slideshowwindow.view.gotoslide (11)" This way, after the shuffling of those slides, you will go to slide 11. From there you can repeat the process of creating the code by using Method 3 with a new name, First slide 12, last slide 30, and can add this VBA code to the buttons for those slides. I hope that helps!

Hi there! You can add your range to be the 1-10 slides with your quiz questions. But to stop at 5, you can just end your presentation, or add a button to skip ahead to the next section in your presentation.

Great video however i do have one question.. so i get the randomizing slides and am having no problem with that. However, i am trying to link buttons on the non shuffled slide to go to a specific slide number rather than the slide title if that makes sense. as in, say i have 23 slides total. slide 1 is the title slide and slide 2 has buttons to go to different slides. i input the code to randomize slide 3-23. but the buttons on slide 2 will always go to a pre-designated slide rather than "slide #4". i.e. i randomize the slides utilizing an action button on slide 1, i then go to slide 2. there is an action button on slide 2 that i want to take me to slide #7, but not slide #7 before it was shuffled i want it to go to slide #7 after it was shuffled. How do i go about that?

Hi Triston, great question. For this example, you will want to use the 2nd Method in the video that starts at 3:01. This method will change the order of the slides of the whole presentation vs, method 3 you just jump to a new slide. So, if you use that method and add a button linked to slide 7 of your presentation, you will jump to the new slide 7 after the shuffle.

Why isn’t there a simple “randomize slide order” button for one to simply click. Seems like like a basic need

what if I start with slide #2 but i want to continue using shuffle/random even if all the slides are already presented?

Hi Danny, depending on which code version you are using, you can begin your process again by putting the slide you want to begin with, in the () within this line: ActivePresentation.SlideShowWindow.View.GotoSlide (1) .

Hi there, I would suggest using the method that allows you to click buttons to shuffle through slides. This way, if you no longer want to shuffle, click the arrow keys to move through your slides in the normal way!

Can I do the shuffling by sections?
@ClassPoint
Жыл бұрын
Hi Ryu! Totally, if you follow this format, just make the range of slides the range of your section. Then you can make a new Macro for your other sections. Label them by section so that when you add the Macro to a button, you select the correct section you want to shuffle.

Yep, the host doesn't finish explaining how to create the macro when there's a finite amount of slides. Tried it and it doesn't work for me either. Lousy instructions.
