I'm sorry, but the cold water part is wrong Bacteria do love warm, but it's a right amount of heat, around 33° C (sorry have no idea how much is that in F, and I'm not really up to look up to convert right now) And if the temperature is higher than that, it starts to get really inhospitable for bacteria Laundering machines usually heats water to 60°~70° C which is enough temperature to kill most bacteria, plus detergent in hot water is much more efficient in removing dirt and killing bacteria because the surface tension of water is significantly reduced in hot temperature allowing detergent to penetrate much further in to the fibers of clothes, plus hot water helps dissolve micro fat clogs that sticks to the fibers witch contain bacteria that are hard to remove with regular cold water In conclusion, hot water with detergent is a POWERFUL disinfection method

you can’t wash anything other than heavy duty pure 100% cotton at that temperature. most synthetic fabrics, which performance gym clothes fabrics are, will call for 30-40 degrees.
@LukkeFS
Жыл бұрын
@@mmmmmmmmaria yes you are correct, some types of fabric are sensible to hot water, specially the synthetic/semi-synthetic ones, most of the time I rather just take the risks because I don't want any bacteria building up on the armpit region of my clothes, and lately I've been avoiding to buy synthetic clothes for good, and preferring to buy pure cotton because they are much more anti-bacterial in all aspects

Don't use fabric softener. Buy some wool dryer balls. They eliminate static cling, reduce drying time and last for years.

Skip all of these steps and fill your washer's detergent and softener drawers with white vinegar. When drying, toss half a cup of vinegar on your wet clothes. Acts as a natural softener and makes your clothes smell fresher than ever. No need to soak, no need to separate clothes. : )

It's not enough, especially if the clothes stay wet (with sweat) in the hamper They might seem clean at first but as you workout you will actually notice the difference, in that they actually still have a lot of bacteria on them

I need an explanation... what's the problem? Why didn't you put it directly in the washing machine?
@LukkeFS
Жыл бұрын
Because usually regular laundering machines do not disinfect clothes completely They only remove a certain amount of them, but there's still a pretty high amount And if you launder too much dirty clothes during a considerable time and not disinfect it regularly, your laundering machine will become a bacteria pit To the point your clothes might start getting out of it with more bacteria than it got in, and you might notice that your clothes might start getting out of it with a little bad smell, that's a sign that your laundering machine is infested with bacteria That's why it's good to "pre-disinfect" clothes before throwing them at the machine If you are interested in the topic of disinfecting the laundering machine you can search online/KZitem there's a lot of content about it and your manufacturing also should have some material about it
