Amigurumi Tutorial: Knuckles
In this video we explain the step by step to be able to weave this nice red echidna.
The tutorial includes the pattern and explanations so as not to lose detail on how to do it, round by round and stitch by stitch.
It is knitted with intermediate thickness wool and with a hook with a much lower numbering than that recommended for that material (2.5mm).
It takes about 12 or 16 hours to make it, and with the material that has been used in the video, it has a height of approximately 55cm.
Materials: about 250gr/280gr of red, which is the color that is most used, 100gr/150gr of white, 50gr/80gr of light skin color, a few meters of black for the nose, 60gr/80gr of green, 30gr/50gr of yellow, 80gr/120gr of gray for the sole, 50gr/80gr of gray for the shoe buckle. They are approximate amounts, because the truth is that I do not take accounts of what I am using.
It is not designed to stand up, it is a soft doll, but it can be reinforced in the legs or an internal structure to keep it rigid. It's a big project though and may not stand up very straight.
It is a piece that requires a lot of work and patience, but the result is great.

SAFETY RULES TO REMEMBER: remember that if the recipient will be a boy or a small girl, it is not advisable to use pieces such as plastic eyes (even if they are safety) or buttons, since they could come loose and cause suffocation. It is also not advisable to use glues that are not harmless (remember that cold silicone, for example, is tremendously toxic)
