It worked for me. It looks better than my last haircut which cost a fortune. Why can’t they do this at these hair salons?

You know what video would be helpful... having someone cutting their own hair with you directing them. Especially for the back. How to estimate cutting the back. How to use the sight in a mirror. Its easy to say how to cut the back when you can see it. If doibg it oneself, you can't.

This would've been clearer if he used a model/wig that was getting a 2-3 inch trim. We would've seen the differences in the sections better than him clipping off a mm or 2. I do my own with difficulty in back. I want to know how to trim the bottom. And shouldn't the back be layered vertically?

Im stuck at home , my hair is a mess. It has not been cut in a year and is now to my waist. Id like to cut it just below my shoulders with the length being in a u shape in the back. I have no idea how to do that.
@marialamb6781
3 жыл бұрын
I can’t tell you how to do a U-shaped but I can tell you how to create really cool layers. Very easily. Since your hair is really long one length, simply get it really wet, then bend down forward and comb your hair straight down. If your hair is really thick then you need to do this in sections and as this man says use a guide .....decide how short you want your hair to be at the longest point and then cut it straight across. So keep in mind that this will create shorter layers of your hair. For you, I would aim for 5 inches off and then if you want it even shorter well then you can do the same thing again and cut a little more off. Straight across. This creates layers in your hair. If you have wavy hair it’s going to be amazing. And if it’s straight, it will give texture to your hair. It’s that simple. I tried it and realized that I have some waves in my hair. My hair used to be below my waist and then I gave 10 inches to locks of love and now my hair is above my shoulders in a layered Bob that needs to be trimmed, so I’m trying to figure out ways to cut my hair myself because it needs to be cut and it’s really thick. Or simply search “cutting hair to have U shape ends.”
@marialamb6781

Parting your hair in the back and bringing your hair forward in (2) sections across each shoulder wet and simply holding it loosely and then cutting straight across is an easy way to cut your own hair and I think that creates a V shape....I’m not sure. But try taking off just (2) inches.....play around and see what happens. You have hair to spare, LOL. 👍🏼🤗
