I'm currently learning but its taking me too long to do it on my classmates. It takes me 50 mins for the markings out of the 75 mins we have to complete the test. Any tips on speed? Or possibly a video of you doing it on a patient (with long hair)?

It took me a long time when I was first learning too. To practice, I timed myself with my cell phone trying to get a little faster each time. I must have practiced measuring 100 times before I started to get fast at it. I’ll try to make a video to help you out. Thanks for the comment!

Hi Jared how do you get the measurements for T1 and T2?
@jaredbeckwith

That’s a good question, I always just eyeball T1/T2. There’s a way to measure, but I never learned. T1 goes in between F7 & T3. It also goes slightly down about eyebrow height.

Are you in NYC....I graduated 2 years ago. Still can't find a job. Can you help me please

If you can’t find job at hospital, apply to ambulatory eeg companies like corticare and IntraNerve to do in home setups. There’s more than those 2, just google ambulatory eeg. After that, I’d apply to individual neurologists in your area who do eeg.

hi Jared! can you talk about the implications for measurement errors?
@jaredbeckwith
2 жыл бұрын
Hi Diana! if you mess up measurements and place electrodes too close together, the EEG waves will look flatter than normal. On the other hand, if the electrodes are too far apart, the EEG waves will be higher amplitude than normal. Nobody has perfect measurements or placements, so I’d say up to 5mm of error is acceptable.

@@jaredbeckwith we are not allowed to go over 1 cm over for class and according to ASET. On Saturday i did my measurement, and electrodes placement in 45 min. With impedance under 4000 ohms. I am trying to find info on error results and there is nothing out there. I"ll use your response to make out a paragraph for my homework. will share with my colleagues your page so they can follow you too :D

This EEG placement is incorrect, where is P7/9 P8/10, T5/6?
@jaredbeckwith
Жыл бұрын
We use T5/T6 instead of P7/P8. Although when more electrodes are needed to locate seizure onset zone, we include the electrodes you named.
