I learned alot from this video. Thanks! I’m tossing around the idea of renting a violin and taking lessons. Your videos are encouraging.

Super thorough and helpful! Thank you! What are some ways for a beginner to get involved in the violin community? I think that's my biggest challenge right now specially being an adult student, it's kind of lonely lol. I feel like it would be a lot more fun and motivating to have a community and

Yesss! I totally get that. Look online and see if there are any beginning adult orchestras in your area! Or even see if you can find a local violin shop. They’d be able to tell you where you can find people or even connect you with a teacher who also has adult students looking for a music community!

Where you buy is just as important as what you buy. Make sure it has a proper set up. I bought a used violin, I got to try it first. It’s a Carlo Bunnel, and I like it. The only thing I dont like is that the shoulder rest doesn’t fit in my case.

Thanks! I am starting to teach as well and curious how is the transition off of the aid for students? Are they able to get the colle finger movements on the bow after?

@@evazakharevich6885 Yes! Actually so beautifully in my experience! I take the big "fish head" off and still leave the pinky "tail" portion for a bit longer.

I don't like that violins don't have frets🥲 Makes it hard to transition from the guitar...

Is it difficult to play? That’s what I go by. It shouldn’t be hard. And remember, the bow is half of the game.
