People are too loose with those 1s, not realizing we only get one shot! Well said really.

Jacob! Love the content and the base pick theory has been a game changer for me as I try to value dynasty assets properly. I've worked in my rankings to create a scaling relative base value metric that can compare, say, a 1.75 1st to .75 2nd side by side and still account for the exponential increase in value as picks go up in rounds. Do you have any content on that? Thanks for your good work man!

Really solid video. Love the dynasty strategy content! Currently 3-2 and deciding if I should trade mine or not, so couldn’t be better timing

@@FantasyPoints would it be too reckless to trade all 4 of my current+future firsts for Amonra+BTJ? Thoughts on that process even if you are getting 2 absolute young studs?

Currently 9th of 12 at 2-3. Inbox offer to send Flowers for Rashee/25 4th to the heavy favorite this year. Already have highest buying power and waiting for Waddle to recover and Brooks/Benson to become relevant (probably till next year anyways). I smash that even if it means I don’t have anyone to start right?

In my home league, I have a MONSTER team but a few injuries. Just traded what will be the 1.01-1.02 (not mine) for AJ Brown. Still have a mid 1st and my pick (hopefully last). My team's average age is 24, so hopefully that's good value.

For context: 1 QB start 9 J Allen, K. Murray, Hall, Gibbs, J. Cook. Dobbins, ARSB, AJ Brown, Puka, London, Waddle, Hollywood, McBride, Pitts. Then cloggers.

I don't hate it, but I also don't love it. If you have a great team already, adding AJB is nice but is it really worth what you just gave up? Sure, AJB's market value is probably *technically* more than what you paid. But let's think about this logically. Unless AJB gets you a bye and ultimately a chip' this season - would it not have been more favorable to just target some less expensive high production starter for just this season as a rental? Someone like a Godwin, Evans or even Shaheed or Deebo. Heck, maybe even a 4th round pick for JuJu who may see 100 targets in the Rice role and is now past his bye week. The pick you gave up, especially if it has a near guarantee to be 1.01 or 1.02 has considerable value and will only go up in value heading into your draft. And the way Tet and Jeanty are playing there are going to be wildly thirsty managers who would be willing to sell productive vets AND high future picks for the chance at taking a shot on those guys. Jeanty looks like Barry Sanders right now. The hype is insane. What if the AJB manager would have traded you AJB + a 26 second or another productive asset for that same pick after the season is over? What if a thirsty manager would have been willing to give you a 25' first AND a 26' first for that pick during the draft? Those types of deals were all over the place this past year with Marv, Nabers and Caleb in those top three (as examples). Long winded but the point is, when you have clarity on a situation like where that top pick is going to be the value is inherently greater and likely worth holding if you already have a competitive roster. And that pick value is always going to increase into the draft with surprising results relative to what other managers will give up to get that pick and draft the next hyped player. So sure, AJB for that pick right now looks fine. But if you don't win this year and AJB disappoints due to the injury or because Siriani is a bad coach you may regret trading that pick when the person who bought it sells it for a king's ransom during the draft. Your team looks scary on paper (in a good way), but we know that any team is just one or two IR stints and some bad luck away from not winning. And with your lineup I think that spot that AJB is filling would be better allocated to a cheap productive asset. I think you should have bought a Toyota, not a Ferrari in your quest for a title. Just some thoughts. Great team though - good luck!

@@brett4932 makes sense to me. My league is strange where only a couple of us value picks. Most of the league calls them crapshoots and they go for cheap, which is how I always end up with 3-4 1sts every year. I see your point. I looked at it as insurance to get the bye after Puka went on IR and knowing Dobbins will fall apart soon, but I most likely already had the bye so it was unnecessary
